It's already been sorted.
Then why is it here?
Originally by: Berand If this guy comes to apply to your corp, then you would care.
He wouldn't apply to my corp, we suck. Plus he wouldn't get in anyway
Then why do you care so much? Go on, plenty of threads in eve-o, as wel all know
I'm with Leilani. like 85% veto posts in this thread, it's like a verone video. This sort of thing should be sorted in game (as in he joins a corp you convo his ceo) just another rubbish thread in c&p.
No one says this is a worse course of action here, just that the one taken, and the one you (or Leilani, whatever) suggest are not exclusive of each other.. ie, there is nothing to stop Verone from convoing new ceo, in addition to what was done here - if he wants to.
Anyway this is my last post on this 'issue', dont really care who believes or who doesnt.. up to you guys. Got lots of more important stuff to do anyway..

To clarify :
This was released to the general population of Eve in the same context as all the other threads that name corp thieves, scammers and people who aren't to be trusted. It was intended as a warning to whomever attempts to recruit the guy, if he stays with Eve.
As for people trolling, there will always be the select number of people who regularly post in response to anything I do with trolling, flaming or a general negative attitude towards myself and my corp. If you don't like what I post, don't read threads that I make. It doesn't take a brain surgen to work out that's the easiest and simplest thing to do.
I'm flattered and happy that I annoy you enough to be the subject of repetitive trolling, often the same names turn up in threads I post over and over again. It's amusing to watch sometimes.
Finally, on proof :
I could post all the proof I wanted regarding how we identified who was selling us out. However I'm not going to because this will make apparent the methods we used to root out who was spying on us.
Not a good plan, if we have future incidents on this level (the personal details of one of our members embedded in a PDF that was intented to be viewed by a select few people being sold publically) I'd like to employ the same methods to sort it out quickly again, without the person resonsible being able to take steps to protect themselves.
Regardless of any of the responses to this thread, my ability to be trusted in Eve is how I make a living. It's important in my ingame line of work, as such we took several days to confirm the result from initial suspicion.
Whether or not people decide to take note of what I posted as a warning is their choice, it's not up to me to decide that.
Should the same thing ever happen to another corporation, permit me to offer the phrase "I Told You So" in advance.

This would make perfect sense if I had been the person that did this, but it wasn't me. All you gained from this was soil my in-game reputation. This accusation just made it a lot harder to pick up the pieces if ever decided to return to EvE in the future if I had any desire to do so. Like I said in my earlier post, it's a waste of two years worth of character training.

So it's my word against yours, and we all know who public opinion is going to be in favor of.

This is not true and you know it. The PDF you're referring to was accessible to anyone that joined from day one, not a 'select few people', and it was on a publicly-accessible webserver with no access control.

It's convenient that this 'initial suspicion' was confirmed, specially when I can't defend myself. You posting this thread without giving me a chance to challenge whatever 'proof' is also pretty rotten, but I guess it doesn't really matter. It's just 'internet spaceships', right?
If you want to make me the scapegoat for this, that's fine. Good luck finding whoever truly did this because it sure as hell wasn't me, but I imagine they might be having a good chuckle right about now.

For all the years that Verone has been around, he's told the brutal truth. Very truth, Very brutal. 'Nuff said.

Regarding this whole mess I'd like to say that I'm sad that we got betrayed especially since we pride ourselves on being a close-knit family and a group of friends rather than a group of geeks playing internet spaceships. I would be very happy if I found out that Ikthorn didn't do anything wrong and got framed by some 1337 ***** framing him with the cunning use of IP addresses, carrier pigeons and flags. But if it's one man's word against another I'd probably trust Verone rather than anyone else I've met both on the intranets and in a Western themed pub in Northern England. If Ikthorn is innocent and has nothing to do with this I am truly sorry he got shat on from such a height. But if he did the **** he is accused of I would hope he can muster the balls to come clean and explain himself since no one has gained anything from this whole debacle.

Since you won't post proof, and it's a case of who's e-peen is larger to settle the score - too bad it is this case, then one base rule could be easier to apply : "never allow an ex-veto to join your corp". :)
PS: You might be right, but considering the fact that since recently a corp's CEO has a way to tarnish someone's reputation with no repercusions, i and many others want proof.
