Ironic - what amounts to little more than a bump thread(and an especially whiny one, at that) to complain about excessive bumping. Your point is valid, but your attitude sucks.

The dev's have responded a number of times in 'forum petitions' that they do not care about them.
If you want to be a part of the solution, apply to be a forum moderator.
The first thing you'll have todo as a forum moderator tho is remove this thread, its a blatent crosspost.

400 is 1% of EVE's player base.
That's hardly a representative minority.
Also, Internet petitions have always failed since no one cares about them. ________________

The simple solution would be to ban character and gtc for isk sales

Though I will say that seeing impatient 'tards bumping their "WTS ROFLZ!!" threads every two minutes is highly annoying and the bumping rules should be enforced.
The problem, of course, is that there are so many people trying to sell GTCs. ________________

Yeah, but the guy has a valid point. Character auctions need days and weeks to finish, not five or ten minutes like GSC sell offers.
If they get pushed seventeen pages back every day, no one will slog through all the crap to find them.
I think I agree with the OP, actually. GTC and character auctions are fundamentally the same but function quite differently and take place on completely different scales, yet they have to coexist in the same area.
Of course, considering how utterly borked the forum is now and has been for years... one wonders if CCP could be arsed to make such a change, even if they thought it was a good idea. ________________

I do tink they do listened to their customers. Eve is a quite a expensve game and we do pay good money monthly. It is just that forum is quite popolar and heavily used. It is like Jita and I do not tink anything much coudl be done about it.
Just beer with the forum. I am shure it would be sorted soon. --------- Technica impendi Caldari generis. Pax Caldaria!

Im sure I could collect 400 signatures of players who would hav liked to see EVE turned into Hello Kitty Online. And I am very sure I could have at least a dev or two to sign a list bringing more pink ships to EVE!
However, that does not mean such things should ever take place..

They probably should do this since they're getting ú10 every time someone sells a char. Makes decent business sense etc etc.

Yeah, CCP surely MUST listen to the special interest of 1% of their playerbase and ignore completely the other 99%.
Good idea.

Wow, you managed to make three threads about the same thing, and utterly fail to provide even a slight hint to the thread's contents or purpose in the title?
Here, allow me to sell you a Forum Warrioring skillbook. That'll be 25 million ISK please, to this character. Cheers!

Well, to put things into to perspective a bit how much could it possibly cost CCP to implement a new forum sub-section? Most forum software, it's a matter of minutes...
Perhaps: - Their forum software is so old and antiquated that it takes a bit more effort to implement a new section. Maybe they need a database guy to fart around with it for a day (tops, likely) to get sub-section IDs and whatnot sorted.
- Maybe there's potentially issues with moderation. Maybe they have some crazy policy that each moderator may only have oversight of 2 or 3 boards and that limit has already been reached. Maybe now they are hesitant to break their own policy or feel they are on the edge of having to hire yet another moderator.
- Maybe they feel that the recent increase in GTC sales by players is something that will soon taper off due to the decreasing isk value of GTCs and they are unwilling to take action on a 'problem' that willl soon resolve itself.
- Perhaps their attitude is, "We just seperated the auction crap and the GTC/Character sales crap not that long ago, and now they want more?"
Who knows?
So why guess? Because CCP isn't talking, maybe?
I could care less about the topic, really. But sometimes it's helpful to have someone who's not motivated by either end of the arguement spectrum (and isn't an "OMG epic failz" forum ****) talk about a topic.
For you see, that is my superpower. I am Roy Batty. Unbiased forum goer. Here to shed the light of logic and empathy on all your little forum troubles.
Anyway, what were we talking about? Oh yeah, GTC and Character Sales spam.
End analysis: It's an obvious problem for people wanting to sell characters. Some of us may not agree with the sales of characters, but that is just clouding this specific issue and hence an unnecessary derailment. CCP allows character sales within their game environment, so it becomes a part of their service. And the quality of their support for whatever small part of their service does reflect on their overall service. They are obviously lacking on this front.
tl;dr It's a crap situation. CCP should at least say something about it.
But of course now you're just reading my sig... |

I want to point out that 400 signatures is next to nothing.
400/200k = %0.002 of the eve population. That's enough to get you a "warning this coffee is hot" label on your coffee but not much else.
