Hi, I am trying to figure out a decent CNR fit for L4 missioning. I would like to ask you to criticize my fit, or if you may tune it to an optimal mode. Just two things: I hate to use cap boosters, and i don-Št wanna be a juicy target for suicide gangs.

I will share the fit I used for L4 missioning. I dont have a Navy Raven yet but this is my normal raven:
Hi slots: 6x Cruise Missile Launcher II 1x Drone Link Augmentor
Med slots: 1x Cap recharger II 1x Large shield booster II 1x Shield boost amplifier II 1x Invulnerability field II 2x Specific hardeners depending on mission
Low slots: 1x Power Diagnostic system II 4x Ballistic Control II
Rigs: 3x Capacitor ctontrol circuit I
I dont know about perfection, but that setup works very well for me in all L4 missions. It's completely cap stable with the shield booster and all active hardeners running permanently, and does respectable DPS, even against elite cruisers (200-300k bounty ones).
If it's not cap stable due to skills, you can swap out 1 Ballistic control for another Power Diagnostic System and it will be. |

I would go with 3x rat specific hardners +1 SBA if you are looking to conserve cap.

If you're good with micromanagement, you can try upgrading to an XL booster and a set of Crystal implants. You won't be cap stable, but a lot of people prefer it because the HP restored per cycle is nuts. If you really want cap stability, try the Scorpion Navy Issue instead.
Signal Amp seems a bit odd. If you're hurting for range, try training Long Range Targetting to at least IV. I'd also drop a BCU for a Damage Control or Power Diagnostic Unit as well. The stacking penalty gets pretty 'not worth it' after four. |

Yeah, it's gank bait. But I don't mission in high density areas. If they can gank it i'm not paying attention and deserve to lose it. Cap stable and have completed all L4's solo with it, with no issues. |

T2 fit except for the BCUs, which are enough of an upgrade to justify the cost easily:

You need a TP in the mid. I go with an xl gist c or b shield booster, 2 mission specific hardeners, and then a cap booster. That leaves a slot for either SBA or invuln II. A lot of the time I don't wind up needing it (cap booster), but for some missions you will. That removes the need for capacitor rigs, and you can do rigors/accelerator. Not that you had em, the other fits did. Your lows and Hi's look fine.

If you're worried about being a gank magnet, then a CNR might not be the right fit. It's the more... ganky faction caldari boat. I suggest going with the navy scorpion since it has the awesome resist bonus, meaning you don't need to spend as much on the ship fittings.
You'll find a good starter version here, but I would highly suggest eventually dropping a cap recharger in favor of a target painter. You'll find you have enough capacitor. When you're just getting used to the ship, you can drop a ballistic control for a damage control. Also, the 4th ballistic control doesn't need to be faction. It can just be t2 for only a slight loss of dps. |

your fit should work just fine. I'd upgrade to faciton BCU's when you have the isk to spare. Also I prefered using faction launchers as well for their faster ROF. T2 is nicve when you're using t2 missiles as well, but with the amount of missiles you'll be nspewing out thats nog very cost effective on a CNR.
This is the fit that I've used for years:
[Raven Navy Issue, CNR I] Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System Capacitor Flux Coil II
X-Large Shield Booster II Heat Dissipation Field II Heat Dissipation Field II Photon Scattering Field II Photon Scattering Field II Cap Recharger II

Large Capacitor Control Circuit I Large Warhead Rigor Catalyst I Large Warhead Rigor Catalyst I
Hammerhead II x5
Obviously the hardeners are ratspecific. The CCC rig, cap flux coil and cap recharger make sure that your cap regenerates quickly enouh if you forget to turn of the X-large booster (which frequently happened to me)
The downside of this fit is that it needs a 3% CPU implant or loose the tractorbeam which I've always found usefull in missions |

Cap flux coils are horrible. You should basically never use them, and in any case they're not necessary.

XL booster is NOT needed. Just use EVE survival.
Target painter helps, especially on those few missions that room aggros when you use drones.
Specific hardeners, of course. Saves cap if I'm not mistaken. 3 are plenty. Take a few of each active hardener and swap it out depending on mission.
EDIT: Oh, and one sba is plenty fine if you learn to control aggro. |

For me:
Aggro management is managing to aggro the entire pocket. I consider this success. If you actually find something fun about level 4 missions after the 2000th one, i'm sorry.
All I want to do is finish the mission as quickly as possible and move on to the next so I can get enough ISK to go back to PvPing. This typically means aggroing the entire pocket, warping in my alt, dropping sentries and setting them to guard the main. I can then permarun my XL and do something else while the sentries clear the pocket.

My personal prefence was always to have a good cap recharge because as I said I frequently forget to turn of the x-large shield booster. If you have any alternative fit that always has a goodcap recharge im open to suggestions

If you forget to turn it off a lot turn off auto repeat. You'll never forget to turn it off after that.
I run a navy scorpion because I preferred having the natural tank buff and the extra mids. (and it was 200 mil cheaper back when i got it) But for the most part these CNR fittings look a lot like it. Although I run 4 BCUs because I feel that little extra to the RoF is better than anything else i could put there. |

7 x Cruise (Navy ammo is fine) 1 x TB (optional)
1 x XLSB 3 x SH 1 x TP 1 x SBA
2 x PDS 0-1 x DCU 2-3 x BCU
2 x CCU 1 x SMC
10 light drones, 5 medium
Highs never change Mids change only hardners lows change quantity of BCU/DCU, in truth only a few missions necessitate the DCU
I go overkill on defence with this, so an entire room can be triggered whilst I make my way to the gate - killing everything on the way.
The missiles hit for 93.75km, so far off targets die on approach and clearance is fast as a result Frigates die to light drones Target painter makes crusiers die with 2 volleys Battleships aren't an issue
Never lost one, never warped out and clearance is fast.

Your fit is fine. It has plenty of tank. Fit is fairly similar to what I ran when I was doing Level 4's in a CNR. I would go with 3 mission specific hardners and drop the second SBA, but whatever floats your boat. You can also drop the cap recharger for a TP as well. I always prefered the large booster over the XL because I disliked that much micromanagement on my booster. The large is just fine for what you are doing. You do want to pay attention to your triggers though. If you screw them up you can get popped fairly easily since you are running the minimum tank necessary to survive. |
