Hey there, just finished training Propulsion jamming 5 and training for a Broadsword is coming to a close. How would you recomment I fit this for solo work, gang work, or gate camping?
Thanks in advance

Basicly passive tank it in the mids and lows and purger rigs in the rig slots. 220 II's in the remaining high slots and the warp scram generator. It makes a drakes tank look puney!

With good skills you can also fit a rack of 425's they have slightly worse tracking, slightly more dps and a much better alpha.
Tankwise 3 large extenders, 2 invuln's and some sort of mwd/ab depending on your job.
Solo work: well I managed to kill a well tanked Minmatar transport ship in low sec while tanking sentry fire (lol reloaded like 2 or 3 times) but don't expect HAC dps.
Gang: start sticking bricks to your ship cos eveyone shoots u first
Gate camping: its pretty cool for gate camping tbh, especially when u have the bubble that follows you. |

Can it really tank that well?

Yes it can. It has arguably the best tank of all four heavy interdictors. Consider:
[Broadsword, New Setup 1] Shield Power Relay II Shield Power Relay II Shield Power Relay II Shield Power Relay II
Invulnerability Field II Invulnerability Field II Large Shield Extender II Large Shield Extender II Large Shield Extender II 10MN MicroWarpdrive II
Medium Diminishing Power System Drain I Medium Diminishing Power System Drain I Warp Disruption Field Generator I Warp Disruption Field Generator I, Focused Warp Disruption [empty high slot] [empty high slot]
Core Defence Field Purger I Core Defence Field Purger I
-------------------------------------
Tanks: 1217 dps vs. Laser 1033 dps vs. Projectile (EMP) 775 dps vs. Projectile (Barrage) 736 dps vs. Hybrid
11800 hp buffer.
And that's without gang bonuses or projected effects or implants of any sort. So okay, it has no weapons, but you asked for a tank, right? Fit a +CPU implant and you might be able to squeeze something in the last two highslots

With 4 Shield Power Relays it's gonna take you ages to regen cap after traviling long distances. Especially with MWD fitted, you won't even keep 2 invuls online, I believe. RAHOMEY |

High: 2 WDFG (1 with script), 4x 425mm II Mid: MWD, SB II (scan res script), 3 LSE II, Kin Amp II Low: 2 SPR II, 2 PDS II Rigs: Purgers
This gets me over 13000 HP at 290 sec regen. It can also run both the WDFG for quite a while without cap problems, thanks to the PDS. For a fleet fit, I'd go all PDS II in the lows and drop the sensor booster for a 4th LSE II. That should survive a DDD with plenty of room to spare.

High: 1 WDFG (1 with script), 5x 220mm II Mid: Afterburner, SB II (scan res script), 3 LSE II, Kin Amp II Low: 3 SPR II, PDS II Rigs: Purgers
Better tracking than last setup and I don't get the cap penalty from the MWD.
Thoughts? I'll take any advice you want to give, cruel or not, just as long as its constructive.

Put MWD in for PvP, use AB for missions. I think instead of kinetic harder, one invul would do much better.

I really hope that wasn't a suggestion to run missions in a HIC

Tbh it would prolly work quite well.. Your epeen is too large. Please resize it to a maximum of 24" with the mass size not exceeding 24000 kilograms. If you would like to know how please mail [email protected] |

Low: x3 Shield Power Relay, x1 PDS II (or Damage Control, x2 SPR, PDS II)
Rigs: Shield extender, purger rigs
It's not got enough damage to solo in but the MLs at least give you some damage at more reasonable ranges. Combine it with a Deimos partner and you're laughing.

Not in HICs obvioulsy...I don't know how you came up with that...
As for MWD, listen to our BoB friend ;) Exactly what I was going to say.
Originally by: Merin Ryskin Edited by: Merin Ryskin on 13/02/2008 09:26:53 Here's a simple rule: if it's a PvP ship, you fit a MWD. There are only two exceptions to this rule:
1) Stealth bombers: you don't have enough grid to fit one with any reasonable setup.
2) Capitals: there is no capital MWD. If/when there is one, it will be a mandatory module.
They're just too useful to leave off a ship. Besides the obvious burning out of bubbles and gatecamps, there are two reasons for this:
1) Range control: if you're a short-range ship, you need it to get in range asap. If you're a long-range ship, you need it to get out to a nice long distance and stay there. Even if you're slower than your opponent, you use the MWD to delay the inevitable as long as possible... for example, that neutron gank Megathron may be faster than a Raven, but if the Raven MWDs away the Megathron has to crawl into range with very low closing speed, taking damage the whole time.
2) Transversal control: if you have good tracking and/or missiles/drones, you use the MWD to keep transversal high. If you have low tracking, you use the MWD to keep transversal low (hint: fly manually, don't just hit orbit, F1-F8).
