1) Mainly hisec. 2) I like the Uni, and now that the academic year is back in full swing I don't have the time to commit to 0.0 life. 3) AFK mission running in vast quantities - making isk while doing engineering problems in RL? Works for me! 4) At some point, maybe I'll head back out to 0.0. No definite plans yet. ---- WTB Armor Nerf Hardener II, 10^100 isk OBO |

Originally by: Korizan There are a lot of discussions about the distribution of the population in game. The common theme is that it needs to be fixed and in general a nerf of some form or another is brought up to fix the problem.
can you tell me please what the perceived problem is that needs to be nerfed?
i have 1 account, i can get into 0.0 easily, pretty much whenever i want.
the only thing stopping people getting into 0.0 is their own fear and / or / stupidity / inexperience / lack of courage.
it doesnt need to be nerfed at all.
its pure darwinism in 0.0, if you dont have the courage to get there you dont deserve to be there tbfh.

Dunno. blue local, best place to rat even if i never rat, clear NBSI, system defense, low population systems, occasional random pew, regular offensive pew, all in good spirit, few smack, just some fun in a fun game. 3. Primary occupation Scanning reds/neuts, warping on their head, killing, and dying, a lot. 4. Do you plan on moving at some point. Really not. i dont get lowsec, highsec's too tough for me. and i dont get how people can play there. been there, i dont miss it. ------

1. Main in high, 2nd act main in 0.0, alt account goes btwn high, low and 0.0 2. highsec for chatting, relaxing and carefree carebearing (lets face it.. when you come back from work.. you just wanna relax..) , 2nd act main in 0.0 cause my "boss" (manipulative friend who mind-r***s me) saids so. alt to transport stuff 3. errrm, dang... cant decide... inventor, manufacturer, miner, and... 0.0 logistics 4. I am already everywhere...
sidenote: if you are going to low/0.0... prepare to learn to use cloaking device, covet ops and recon..
it makes your life alot of easier once you trained them AND know how to warp safely cloaked (well, the not-getting caught in a 0.0 bubble with 50 drones buzzing about bit..)
but yeah, only dedicated pirates/hunters will come looking for ya if you are cloaked and moving about...

Quote: Good example Dubious D. Yeah, we feel sorry for you and want to help you. You can say all you want that being a carebear is all you need but to the rest of us that's like saying your dry hand and a Sears catalog is all you need: it just doesn't compute for those of us who get laid.
I think alot of the perceptions are mutual when looking at this from either side. A lot of us carebears just cannot justify moving into Lowsec where as a lot of the lowsec/nullsec folks think that it is the only place worth being.
Sounds like both sides are doing just fine where they are though.
I know personally there are a lot of things I would love to do but feel it is over my head to be diving right in at this point.
I have read enough to the contrary to know it is my fear of loss but meh...to each their own I spose.
But I digress...
1. Where are you currently Highsec / Lowsec / 0.0 - Bounce between highsec and lowsec.
2. Why ? - Like being left alone (for the most part) but do enjoy baiting the around .2-.4 systems when bored.
3. Primary occupation - Getting back into EVE after a LONG break. Focusing my training while stacking some chips running missions and working on a manufacturing alt.
4. Do you plan on moving at some point. - I am interested in investigating some alliance possibilities to create mutually beneficial agreements. Sounds like it might be a little more than I can commit to atm though. We'll see.

1. Highsec 2. My corp's there. As a group, we primarily do small group mining ops, and we turn out a nice profit in quiet .5 belts. 3. Missioning. 4. I'd really like to move out into lowsec eventually. --- "Question not the ways of the script, there's always a bigger fish." |

Do you plan on moving at some point. Short term i intend to get all the main trade hub corps (Caldari Navy, Brutor tribe, Emperor family and Federation navy) standings high enough for minimal taxation, possibly also jumpclones. I will move between the empires as needed to do this and keeping my faction standings balanced. I also want to get my own CNR, even if just for the having.
My mid term goal is to focus on exploration, which would be done best in a corp supporting the scanning and harvesting of exploration pockets, and would most likely involve a move to low sec or 0.0.

1.Highsec. 2.It's less hassle and more relaxing. I don't get a thrill from blowing up other player's ships and I get all the challenge and excitement I need from my day job. 3.Mission Runner. 4.I have an alt that sometimes goes hunting for prey. I'm willing to relocate him to 0.0 if the right opportunity presents itself. I doubt I'd play him all the time but it'd be nice to have the option. -- (Sarcastic mission running veteran)

1. High-sec
2. It's become too dangerous to live in low-sec with HICs. Can't even travel around with a sliver of safety with a rack of stabs? No thanks. 0.0 is a trap, been there done that... I don't have the time to devote to it anymore.
3. Missioning. Though I do a little bit of everything, I find mission running to be the most interactive and varied profession. Killing, salvaging and looting and while not as much money as good ratting is still pays the bills and is a bit less boring. Actually, I haven't tried exploration... and I probably won't with the increasing number of explorers out there it's apparently not very profitable.
4. I'd love to get back into low-sec someday. However, at the current risk/reward ratio there's no chance of that happening.

A: 1. Low-sec. 2. It's lots of fun, relatively profitable, you get to meet all sorts of interesting people and shoot them in the face, take their modules, ransom their pod and salvage their wreck. Also, reasonably safe to roam through low-sec as long as you're not a terrible noob without the need for scouting or alt asshattery, enabling me to actually fly solo if I want to. 3. Piracy. 4. No. I already quit my old corp because they decided to move to 0.0. They rat for ISK there so they can pew-pew, which isn't my idea of fun.

1. Currently - hi-sec/lo-sec, 0.0 on short sojourns. 2. Just find it less time intensive. I am able to go to a market hub 5-6 jumps away and buy my stuff for reasonable prices and can choose the time and places that I need to be on 'high-alert'. 3. I dabble in the whole lot. EVE is fantastic for it's depth of play and multitude of ways to accomplish one task. I love the PVP side of things and absolute mass of options and combinations available there. 4. One day I may go back to 0.0 (done 'it' twice already for about 1 year total) - but it would be purely a PVP expedition. I no longer have the time for the heavy duty logistics involved or patience for the organisational side of things when out there full time.

Where: Highsec, but want to move to lowsec sooon Why: NPC corp standings at 7.3... god I can almost taste the jumpclone... but not yet... Career: Corporate leader, fleet commander, frigate tactician Plan: Plan to establish a base in lowsec, but not likely in 0.0, because it's boring and the PVP in 0.0 sucks. Maybe I'll join an alliance with 0.0 holdings to satisfy corp members that want a taste.
