I agree with this topic as well. High sec ganking should be limited to PC corps. Then again, so should flying barges, Battleships, freighters and basically anything bigger than a cruiser. I'm all for severely limiting NPC corps, but not by just limiting their ability to pew pew.

A corp mate of mine just lost his faction fitted CNR in a 0.5 system to a gank squad.
It provided us all with a laugh (him included) because we've all done it ourselves.
I still think the mechanics/rules need to looked at though. Insurance payouts is just plain stupid and the fact you only get the same sec loss for killing a multi billion isk ship in a hi-sec system as popping a noob/spy alt in a rookie ship in low-sec is crazy.
Until they sort it though long live the rules that make hi-sec easier to get juicy kills in it than low-sec on a regular basis!

Old debate, but I'll restate my old opinion
Under no circumstances should high sec ganking be removed from the game. Moving super valuable cargos should be an undertaking with risk, even in high sec.
But I strongly support changes that change the "current math" of high sec suicide ganking. My prefered idea is no insurance when someone dies while flagged by Concord (regardless of who gets final blow). This would add about 60mil per suicide battleship cost for high sec suicide ganks, sustancially shrinking the number of targets worth popping.
Having said all that, I'm not expecting any such changes anytime soon, and am not too worried about it. Does not really affect my own play much either way.
What the debate really boils down to is this: Should there be ANYWHERE in game where a casual gamer can log on for some low stress casual npc hunting/grinding? I believe there should be, other believe otherwise. I also see no conflict between such "mostly safe" areas and the "risk/work/reward" tripod. 0.0 is better. (or can be)
Play nice while you butcher each other.
