Well if you've done missions where you managed to pick up slaves, refugees, janitors, exotic dancers, militants, slave dogs, etc in the loot you might be wondering what the heck to do with them. As far as I know you can only wait for an agent to ask you for them, which means you'd be holding onto them for a very long time. How about this simple idea, just Right-Click on them at a station and free them up instantly. There you go, 2 seconds and it's done. Right-Click and Save.
Now, to make things more interesting CCP could set up employment agents so if you brought 10 janitors to the agent the agent would put them to work as part of a contract where you make X amount of isk per week for providing the workforce.

This. I worked too hard trying to get damsel and 7's missions to get them. Which means that i need my militants to protect them from other capsuleers who can't keep their hands to themselves.
I'd gladly release my supply of homeless though. There's only so much halitosis a man can bear . |

When we get "walking in stations" will we get "lap dance with exotic dancers"? ------------------
Let me show you around. That's my lab table, and this is my workstool. And over there is my intergalactic spaceship. And here's where I keep assorted lengths of wire. |

I just can them when I'm going mining, then keep track of how long it takes until they pop. They also make good for good targets.

It's already in. Access it through right clicking (while in space). The option is mislabeled as "jettison". I assure you they will live happilly for the rest of their life, though.

I already have a wife. The problem is, when you've seen one hot woman, you want them all. And this is in-game, right? ------------------

Edited by: Teyrala on 19/02/2008 16:49:37 Freeing slaves/enslaving people might be good for roleplayers I guess. Other than that, it seems a bit pointless.

Anyways, they are already ingame cluttering up cargo bays (for those who do not want to cruelly jettison them) so why not just give a simple option to send them off to a productive fulfilling life? I especially like the option to get them jobs that somehow reflects on the EVE universe. Labor forces could add an interesting aspect to the game.

Step 1 - save up enough exotic dancers and drugs to fill up freighter Step 2 - take freighter full of exotic dancers and drugs to Jita 4-4, turning it into the single largest red-light district in the universe Step 3 - when all of Jita is both exhausted and suffering from withdrawl, send in your freighter full of militants to take control of Jita 4-4 Step 4 - initiate self-destruct of Jita 4-4 Step 5 - be praised as a hero, make billions in liscensing fees selling your story

Well u can sell em (cept the slaves that is unless ur in amarr space)
but how bout this idea, u get slaves, u have 2 options, in gall and mini space u rightclick them and u get the option of 'free slaves' the slaves dissapear from ur hangar (they are beeing cared for by the local authorities and returned to their homes and families) and u get a small standing increase with gall/mini and a standing decrease with Amarr/caldari.
In Amarr/Caldari space it is the other way around, u get the option to 'return slaves' and this gives u a standing increase with amarr/caldari and decrease with gall/mini.
really the only other option u have is taking them out and ending their miserable lives by blowing up the can there in.
Mebbe there should also be a 1 time permit for sale that would allow u to transport them, but once u dock the permit invalidates so the use is limited, but this would give u the opportunity to transport the slaves from one empire to another.

There is one other option for slaves already ingame. I can do a mission that produces slaves for me to pick up, I can fly into Minmatar space and get caught by customs for transporting slaves, they take the slaves and fine me. Go figure that one out.
As mentioned, a good idea is when in Gall or Min space free slaves at any station. As for all the other types of people set them up for work contracts. Have NPC agents that offer work contracts requiring X amount of so and so. Since all stations require staff to operate you can have services depreciate or prices escalate at stations that are low staffed. hence the transport and employing of citizens in EVE becomes a new trade.
