Sorry? I couldn't hear you over the sound of my 1,89 That counting method just favors younger posters. Tippia has been an "enthusiastic poster" for years before the like-system was even in place, while you younglings barely talk at all and are only a year or two old. For example at your current posting speed you'd have to post for more than 40 years to even catch up to Tippia's current post count. If you want the system to actually mean something, it should only count posts made after the like system was implemented.
Yep. Just another reason why P/L ratio is bad.
And---oh wow..you really took the time to look me up in evesearch? I didn't know I was that important, I always thought you had better things to do... but thanks for the attention again (blushes). -.- |

Jeez, anyone who has the balls/chutzpah/mental issues to have a quote from Marillion in their signature surely deserves a like. Me? I just steal other people's sigs when they grab my beady chicken-eyes!

All horrible lies. You shouldn't believe everything you read on the internet.

I come to the forums mainly to whine, so in reality I shouldn't have any likes at all. For this reason I've come to a conclusion that there has to be something wrong with the like system as a whole :)

But you are good at whining. People like that.
I have also realized that the character portrait factors into your likes. When Zimmy looked like a rotten, booster addicted space ****, it was very hard to get any likes at all. Revamping the picture made it easier. That and excessive posting in the Like And Get Likes Thread

Bump, did some testing
Is it possible to like more than one post in the same thread from the same author? - YES, tested up to 10, but there does not seem to be a limit to it.
Is it possible to like a post from a different account that is registered to the same e-mail address - YES
Is it possible to like a post multiple times from different characters that are on the same account? - again YES
Wait a minute... is it... possible to like a post with another character on the same account as the character that made the forum post??
YES! |

The likes system is pointless so we tried to break it with this thread: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=6470&p=98.
Pushing it those last few pages to an even 100 is proving to be quite a battle. Just a little more! |

Did some testing myself. You can unlike a post that you have previously liked, but if you do so, you will not be able to like it again. The poster gets only a notification for the "like", not for the "unlike". This is a pity, because I just wanted to like/unlike the same posts a thousand times to spam notfications- but in their great wisdom, CCP have already forseen this kind of forum-warfare and made it impossible.

Actually, you can toggle the like again if you wait awhile.
