Frankly I think that the Caldari would rule the universe. It seems like everyone and their grandmother plays Caldari. Gallente would offer strong resistance but if it came down to shere numbers I think the Caldari would win. What do you think?

gallente would pwn caldari, purely because half of caldari players are carebears/isk farmers. and on the other war, minnies wuld win cos they have more players and probably better ships! lol

If ranged... caldari. If up close, gallente.
Amarr and minnie would be along for the entertainment value. :)

Edited by: Faizaniel on 22/02/2008 19:01:49 Amarr Akbar! Amarr Akbar! Amarr Akbar!
Seriously, in a conflict, the Amarr would fall first in any conflict. The five kin would probably split the Empire into five warring factions once it hits the fan, bringing the Empire to an end before it can even become a factor.
After that, Gallente would probably win among the main four factions.
Of course, if they arrived at all, the Jovians could topple the other factions in a heartbeat.

Unless they learned from the battle of Vak'Atioh. But yes, Amarr would have a lot of trouble. ARE having a lot of trouble, thanks to the Defiants. But if it were a straight fleet vs. fleet warfare, Amarr would burn things down quite nicely.
Which is where Minmatar guerilla warfare comes in... So... It would depend on how it would develope. After all, we don't have a realistic view of Faction Resources other than "Systems Owned."

You can't just say one side would win over another based on the number of pod pilots, because a large number of pilots DO NOT ally themselves with their own faction. I frequently see Gallente, Amarr, and Minmatar pilots constantly running Caldari Navy missions, and likewise for the others.
Moreover, the concentrations of players in low-sec and 0.0 would most likely choose to simply try and conquer the factions for themselves.
Everyone knows that the factions themselves' ships are hugely sub-par compared to the pod pilots, which means that in the end, it would be determined by what the pilots choose to do themselves, which you cannot judge for them.
Sure there are more Caldari pilots, but like it was said, many of them would be conscientious objectors to combat, and while that would place them in a lower patriotic standing, they probably don't really care, and the same goes for other races.

If faction warfare does become reality, the CCP node will be the first casualty - and all factions lose
Just the sheer number of Achura will be enough to cause serious lag warfare when they are brought into the front lines.

Only thing that can be said for certain is Amarr will lose horribly in this. Certainly because they are least populous by far but even if they had even numbers it is safe to say they'd still get owned badly.
Can't say as I am looking forward to faction warfare even if it does sound cool on paper.

The reason you see that is cause there is more of a demand by caldari pilots for faction goods so its a no brainer to run caldari navy agents for profit.
Minmatar would win a faction war... Every time one of our ships is blown up all we need to do it take 2 of the wrecks from the battlefield, duct tape them together with our pod and its like a brand new ship.

The caldari might have the most people, but they're PvE people and their ally is the ammar. I'd certainly imagine the minmatar and gallente alliance has the most PvP people, and are probably close in total numbers too with the low ammar population.

It's brilliant actually. A few more and they will implode under their own mass into a black hole! At least we can hope they would.

I for one welcome our new drone masters. They have such a brilliant sense of humor.

I agree completely.
If they fail however, it will be the Gallente.
Yes the Caldari are populated but our ships are worthless junk by comparison and will stand no chance against the obviously superior Gallentain fleet of super tanking ungodly ganking Pwnmobiles. +++++++++++++++ For the LAST time...
