The latest news...
One of our newest reporters Theora Muurita takes a look at "drone region" residents Ethereal Dawn, who came out on top in their match today against the Mercenary Coalition Day Two Coverage has been published. Read up on some exciting matches featuring a raft of prominent names and some even bigger upsets coming from the lesser-known alliances.
Stay tuned tomorrow, live feeds of the third serving of matches will be broadcast shortly as the fights begin and no doubt there's more news from abroad to come as well.

Quote: Hydra Alliance: | Raven | 2 Myrmidons | Hurricane | 2 Blackbirds Synchr0nicity: 5 Ishtars | 5 Griffins
The two Blackbirds from Synchronicity were primaried from the beginning by the Hydra team and were mauled under a withering swarm of drones. Synchronicity returned fire, trying to eliminate the Griffon ECM support of Hydra, but by the time they had eliminated them, they had lost their Hurricane, leaving them with only a Raven and a pair of Myrmidons. This handful of heavy ships could not hold out against the drone swarm and remote repair logistics strength of the five Hydra Ishtars, giving Hydra a strong win to start off the tourney.
ISD Tsuki, it was actually the other way around - Hydra fielded the 5 Ishtars and Griffins. Just thought i'd bring that to your attention.
Really nice job so far btw, really like the short battle summaries.

A couple corrections in this paragraph..
Quote: Match 35: Pandemic Legion Vs Mercenary Coalition From there Pandemic were free to mop up all the remaining ships. They made a play for the totalhelldeath win; sending the Curse off to chase the Guardian as its teammates finished the Megathron (WAS A DOMINIX). With the Curse (THE GUARDIAN WAS IN DEEP ARMOUR)in deep armor, they almost grabbed it before time was called.
PS, Great coverage, a couple lttle errors shouldnt detract from a good effort by ISD

Odd, we fixed that mistake about the Guardian/Curse switch up around 20 minutes ago...are you quoting the live feeds that were posted earlier? In any case, you're right about the other mixup and changes have been made. We make the odd mistake when reporting live and it's helpful to have them pointed out to us, so thanks for doing so!

Many thanks, Loxy. Keep up the fantastic work at your end too, it's been some amazing TV so far, we're all looking forward to more!
The tournament comes to a pause, but things have been just as busy in the IC. More news and information for you:
Statistics have been added on two areas: Ships fielded (by class and faction) as well as a closer look at logistics ship usage and success rates. Check the forum (or the Match Day coverage section) to find it. Caleb Kang has another look at how the crews aboard the tournament vessels fared and finds a mix of results.
Stay tuned for more news and updates as the tournament resumes. Once again we'll be bringing you live feeds and summaries of the matches if you can't make it to a nearby holo-terminal and want to stay on top of what happens, when it happens.

"The stalemate resumed up until Blade shot themselves in the foot, with at least one Basilisk drifting outside the Arena and facing the wrath of game officials. Another Basilisk of theirs disappeared just as rapidly, suggesting it may have done the same. The majority of the rest of the team dropped quickly, with yet another ship leaving the arena. Proxay from Blade however, denied IAC their much-needed totalhelldeath victory with some evasive maneuvers in his Taranis."
the second basilisk was destroyed by the gank MOAs, very rapidly I might add

Thanks for the correction Tyrrax. I wasn't sure if it drifted out of the arena or was just obliterated so fast that it appeared that way.
Yesterday was the big day of bets, it seems. With some hefty wagers made amongst the capsuleer class, and some more scandalous ones made by those in power amongst the empires.
In case you somehow missed it, there's a whopping fourteen billion ISK riding on the seventh match today, between IAC and Cosa Nostra. Triumvirate's Jovius Marginus and Tyrrax Thorrk have put seven billion each as wagers on the outcome of the match. You can catch up on all the drama here.
And the latest in factional news, brought to you by Mercury
Maleatu Shakor, one of the most visible political figures in the Republic, has come under fire for his endorsement of Ushra'Khan in this year's tournament. Head of Vivation Marketing Ulien Sinclain, whose talent saw his corporation rise to be one of the premier advertising companies inside the Federation has stepped down following a massive financial loss brought about by his failed wager on the Mercenary Coalition. In a bizarre turn of events, the revolutionaries of Star Fraction seemed to have earned the confidence of Touraj Miyan, a notable Amarrian holder in the Kor-Azor region. Much like Shakor, he has come under fire from his colleagues, although in this instance for wagering what is rumored to over ten billion ISK on Star Fraction's chances in the tournament this year.
Stay tuned today as we bring you live GalNet coverage of day four. If you can't make it to the EveTV holo-terminal, rest assured that we'll keep you updated on that and other news as it breaks.

The information for Match 54 shows an incorrect setup for BRUCE. BRUCE fielded 4 Ishtars and 5 Ishkurs, not the 4 and 4 listed.

In a shameless display of grabbing glory from the wreckages of the battlefield I'd like to point out that our second Guardian piloted by Yo****o Sanders was permajammed the entire fight. When my Guardian first dipped into half armor, I had been tanking the Deimii on my own with only my local medium armor repairer since the match started, all others being jammed.
You are correct that Tronys Dominix did save me in the end though.
Once against thanks for a stellar performance so far, ISD.
