Edited by: empereur delavie on 28/02/2008 09:05:13 Edited by: empereur delavie on 28/02/2008 09:04:26 I didnt want to post this issue but after a few days of research and no luck so far I decided to see if any of you can help me out. I just built a new system and I am running vista ultimate x64. I downloaded the game client and installed and when i went to play this is what my screen looks like:

I cant figure out why this is happening and im not sure what to do at this point. This screen just sits there and the eve logo in the background just moves around like normal but thats it. It will sit like this for as long as i will let it. I have to alt tab to get out and then close eve. Can someone help me with this issue?? Thank you in advance.

I quit playing because of this issue in January. No one could answer my question and petitions were ignored.
Here is a more direct link after spending 10 minutes looking for the login to that god forsaken site:
www.nawafx.com/ar-iphone/arialuni.ttf
Enjoy! It fixed this pain in the ass problem.
EVE Moderators/CSR's can go to hell, wasted 2 months for me.

Interesting discussion on x64 Vista. I have a stability issue with Eve on x32 Windows XP. I'm running a modern system, although not top-of-the line but well within the requirements to run Eve Premium Graphics with comfortable FPS: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3600+ at 1.9 Ghz stock with the newest AMD official CPU hotfix from their website, 2GB system RAM, nVidia GeForce 7900 GTS 512MB RAM with the ForceWare Beta 169.09 (best video drivers I've ever experienced with the video card) overclocked to 610 Mhz GPU/1490 Mhz RAM, Creative Sound Blaster Audigy (version 1, not Audigy 2), and the Windows XP page file set to default on an 8MB RAM 200GB Maxtor 7900 RPM 9.5ms seektime hard drive. All other system settings are default.
When I play Eve, after about 1-2 hours there is a lagged down effect which is similar to that of having a slow Internet connection to the server. I've tested my net speed at www.speedtest.net and I have a good 6 Mbps download 800 Kpbs upload, so it's not that. The experience feels like it's a casche problem with the hard drive. The exact experience goes a little like this: Say 1 hour and 15 minutes into Eve, the hard drive starts acting up, flashing rapidly for 10 seconds, then the game continues. If I'm doing something with the mouse, such as checking the Market, or Contracts, the mouse can move, but the whole Eve interface is frozen. I spoke to another player who's running a faster and newer system than this one, and he restarts Eve every 2 hours to fix this problem, just like I do. The game will continue running smooth as silk for 1-2 hours, and then the problem begins again.
Suggestions?
Thanks.

Just sharing this out. Encountered something similar (on XPSP2) and windows Event Viewer reports :
Event ID 108 - The driver nv4_disp for the display device \Device\Video0 got stuck in an infinite loop. This usually indicates a problem with the device itself or with the device driver programming the hardware incorrectly. Please check with your hardware device vendor for any driver updates.
Event ID 26 - Application popup: Windows - Display Driver Stopped Responding : The nv4_disp display driver has stopped working normally. Save your work and reboot the system to restore full display functionality.
No fix as yet but happens infrequently to bother with any sort of petition.

Thx for your answer. Yes, I simply restart Eve to fix my problem up. Eve restarts so smoothly, especially since the Boost patch 1.1 was completed.
