Thinking along the "Dark Blood Modules Only" fitting, I'm considering the following for an Ashimmu:
1x Dark Blood Medium Armor Repairer 1x Dark Blood Armor Thermic Hardener 1x Dark Blood Armor Kinetic Hardener 1x Dark Blood Armor Explosive Hardener 1x Dark Blood Heat Sink 1x Dark Blood Reactor Control Unit
1x Dark Blood Medium Capacitor Booster, Cap Booster 200 1x Dark Blood Stasis Webifier 1x Dark Blood Warp Disruptor
1x Dark Blood Medium Nosferatu 2x Dark Blood Medium Energy Neutralizer 4x Dark Blood Focused Medium Pulse Laser
1x Ancillary Current Router I 2x [empty rig slot]
The webber gets 19.6km w/ Matar cruisers to 4, and the neuts do 252 cap damage w/ Amarr cruisers to 4. However, there's a strong conflict here: there is no Dark Blood MWD, and the ship really isn't all that useful without one - well, maybe for small time belt piracy against frigs and cruisers. Then again, this is a cruiser, and Blood cruisers generally only do well against other cruisers, and frigates
Suggestions for the two remaining rig slots? There's 200 calibration remaining - faction ships only get 350, and the Current Router uses 150. The PG is very tight - even with AWU to 5, there's less than 50 remaining, and it won't fit without AWU to 1.

Yeah. Sure. 100% of the time... Not.
Personally i'd drop the reactor control asap. Probly i'd fit a DC or EANM in its place and replace the injector for a second web. Should help making up for the no mwd. No ?
Edit : didn't thought that there isnt a dark blood DC ... tho

i'd go for all medium neuts too, the ashimmu has a huge cap for a cruiser and with egress thingies runs 3 medium neuts with impunity, killing 250 cap or so every few seconds.
Believe it or not, I hadn't realized the Egress Port Maximizer reduced the activation cost of neuts! That's quite fantastic - blood of crew YUM!

I couldn't figure out a way to get the needed power without both the RCU and Current Router. Dropping the RCU and running double Current Router doesn't work, even with AWU to 5, but running 3x Current Router does look it. There is a DB EANM, but no DC, so that's an easy choice :)
Dropping the injector for a second web makes for a *very* tight fit in terms of PG (1x Current Router and AWU 5, or a T2 Current Router and no AWU req), but doable without massive rigging :) There's the solution to initial PG issues.
Revised fit would be EANM instead of RCU, 3x Neut instead of NOS 2x Neut, 2x Web instead of 1x web and 1x injector, 1x Current Router and 2x Egress Port Maximizer.

Well, you're making a couple assumptions:
- That there are many "competent" pilots
- That they have MWD fitted
-A- knows picking the right target is half the battle, a half that would be even more important with a fit like this :P

Edited by: Last Wolf on 06/03/2008 22:59:42 I know you're going for all dark blood, But I really think this ship would be a whole lot more usefull with Tech II guns. scorch is really needed for PvP. It could be the diffrance between killing a vagabond that is out of webrange, or dying to that vagabond.

With a 19.2km web range (with minny cruiser lvl 4 - easy to get), i highly doubt that ANY nano ship would want to come anywhere near this thing. On top of that, it also has friggin neuts (and pretty powerful ones at that). This thing is a nano's worst nightmare - it combines a hugin (sp?) with a curse, though tamed down in both instances.
That being said - that ship looks pretty sweet. For lowsec, it would probably be great(provided that you can choose your targets), and would be a great asset to any gang. That being said... without a mwd i most definately wouldn't recommend taking it into 0.0
Also, is it actually cap stable running all that (or at least able to run it for more than about 30 seconds?). That looks like an awful lot of cap intensive gear there, and I'm not sure that you'd be fully able to run everything long enough to make a difference.

Except with 80% webs (or is Dark blood 75%? i forget) A vagabond going 5km/s will still be going 1000m/s webbed, PLENTY fast to stay out of nuet/nos range of this set-up.

show fitting is cool but darkblood webs aren't that great.
anyways I just wanted to say I enjoy fitting mine out for max cap warfare by fitting autocannons.
lots of left over power grid freeing up so many needed solts. if they can't tank it won't matter if your using lasers or not.

Yer but that won't make me happy if i come across him and pop him then.
I do agree a curse would most likey be alot better in every way other than the kill mail. Death is great rember where all dying to get there. |

Dang, lost a well thought out reply. Ah well. In brief:
- It's cap stable for almost 90 seconds w/ repper, and longer than that without.
- 80% web, x2 (updated fit) and -stacking penalty works out to just barely faster than this ship (something like 240 m/s down from the 5000).
- There's heaps cheaper ways of doing this, but sometimes it's about the show
- I leave this on autopilot between 4C-B7X and D5IW-F. Come visit
