I fly with a 20-30 frigate fleet and want a pure dps, gallente cruiser to fry the stuff they tackle.
I won't be using drones much since they're likely to be left behind, and I'm not sure if I should be blaster or rails. We've had a few goes before and the targets get so packed with close range frigates that it's a huge traffic jam.
All advice is greatly appreciated. No T2s please, I'm not rich.

Try a Thorax with the heaviest medium blasters you can fit.

You say you're not rich, so leave out tech 2 (probably they are difficult to fit anyway) and modal blasters. I suspect that anode ions may well be the best compromise, allowing the fitting of an afterburner or MWD to get in close and even maybe a bit of a tank. Whether you can get neutrons onto a Thorax and still fit anything else, I really don't know - but if you can and you don't care about tanking at all, fit those. I suppose EFT is your friend. Of course, this all depends on skills, as well.
Incidentally, anode guns are AFAIK not all that pricey. Limited and regulated guns are often actually cheaper than stock tech 1, because they refine to less minerals. ---------------------------------------------- "Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent."

Alright, thanks!
What's your suggestions for the other mid slots, apart from fitting a mwd? Don't worry about energy/cpu, I can figure that part out myself.

Well what you got left is basicly, ECCM, cap modules, ewar and tracking enhancers. so if u need more ewar of some kind to your gang why not bring it. Otherwise fit cap rechargers to make you cap stable, freeing lows for dmg and tank mods.

Comedy post.
If stuff is tackled down anyway, then you are probably best off fitting injector in mid.
Also, if you have decent drone skills, blaster vexor does more damage.
