Hello mighty fitting wizards!
Although not practical, what would be the best way to omnitank a dominix for level 4 missions? I doubt anyone would do this when they could easily switch out fittings dependant on the mission at hand...
But, for arguments sake: How would you set this up?

I think the easiest lazytank is EANMII, expl hard II x2, therm, kin hard II, LARII x2. S'what I use for angels, and they're close enough to requiring an omnitank; if you have a better repper you could toss a DCII on instead of the second, as it's really not needed very often.

The Domi has an excellent Armor Tank capability as well. I use the following in my lows:
1 x Large Armor Repairer II 1 x Medium Armor Repairer II 1 x Armor Thermic Hardener II 1 x Armor Kinetic Hardener II 1 x Armor Explosive Hardener II 1 x Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II 1 x Damage Control II
With a rack of Cap Recharger II's in the middle and some CCC rigs you can permarun that setup along with a full rack of Large Rails. According to EFT it gives an approximate 462 tankable fit. In my experience thus far you dont need the Medium running all that much. If you know which groups to aggro first and handle all that then a single large repper with good hardeners will keep you alive plenty long.

Edited by: Meiyang Lee on 11/03/2008 19:46:17 Depending on the damage spread in a given mission i sometimes fit an "allround" tank to my domi, consisting of 2x Amarr Navy EANM, 1x DCII, 1x Armour Explosive Hardener II. Works quite well, but isn't advised against Kin/Therm heavy opponents as those two are your lowest resists. Repair comes from 1 LARII and 1 MARII as my skills don't allow 2 LARIIs to run continually just yet. I have 1 Capacitor Control Circuit and 2 Auxiliary Nano Pump rigs fitted.

I still think an Armor tank on the Domi is a much stronger overall setup than the passive shield tanked Domi. I tried a few fits and while it is possible to get a pretty decent passive shield tank even with my limited resistance skills in shields, the armor setup seems to be much stronger.
To each his own though. I've seen other posts about the shielded domi and even there it says it is plausible but active tanks (at least when talking about L4 missions) are just much better at surviving the DPS.

large booster shield boost amp 3 invulvs dmg control flux coils' ' 350-550 tanked dps (cn navy mods for 550)
from the top of my head, so might not be correct, I do however know that you can fit a very nice active omni shield tank on a domi, and even one with rails and some dmg mods for them if you micromanage your tank.
