i am seriously getting peeved off with all these boost patches which we dont need. i like to pvp but the way ccp is going i might as well just not log on with all the bugs and fricking patches
ccp get a bloody grip before u lose your valued long term players
no new glittzy things just a game that works with minimul lag please

I imagine even new players would take stability over fluff, as many are not gaming newbieÆs just because they are new to Eve. Makes you wonder how many of the Trial Accounts are going to be for more than just spamming isk sellers.

So what should CCP do with the employees that are unable to work on fixes? Send them on a 6 month vacation? Sorry but you are assuming way too much. While I will agree 100% CCP needs to work more on quality assurance, this doesn't really have much to do with content creation. The people who create new stuff for the game can't just stop and go fix bugs.

That's easy - they can test the game thoroughly! And play it in depth to understand some of the balance issues and frustrations real players have.

I can see the problem, cause it seems to involve 99% of CCP's staff. But it sounds like we can all agree with the OP on this.
What we could and should expect is for CCP to have a dedicated bug hunting team doing some serious testing before patches are released (which would eliminate approx. 95% of the hotfixes). We should also expect them to answer well placed criticism on these forums. Not giving any feedback is just childish, like saying: if we don't read it, it dosen't exist!

Sack them and get the staff you actually need to run a quality MMO. If staffing levels are geared toward content creation then thats the answer. Like so many MMOs though the current EVE that we pay for and love probably is not what CCP wants the product to be. Star wars galaxies comes to mind lol.

Not just to support a corp-member , but the idea just attracts me. Been playing from beta-6 till now, and I agree this is the worst patch ever. When I saw the huge list of "fixes" on the Patch Notes I knew we were in trouble because CCP is showing even more and more that the various divisions it has are not communicating with each other and that the Quality-Check crew is not doing its job any more.
Hope to see more real fixes now, without new bugs appearing, because that is just too embarrassing now a days.
Running 2 accounts... well 1 now until CCP fixes the lag and the random crashes.

Signed. Please oh please fix the game I love so dearly. I stopped playing for 2 1/2 months late last year and played WoW ( yes, I really did ). WoW got boring pretty quick. Their market is a joke and pvp in wow is a joke. They do know how to make a stable game with some of the prettiest graphics I have seen. But, guess what game I came back to... Eve.
Eve has it all. But I can hardly play since the boost patch. My FPS dropped through the floor. Yes, bug report already sent.
2 accounts here that I pay for each month. No paying for GTC's with isk.

I hope CCP in all its wisdom realizes that even a small number of posts here represents a much larger number of people who either
a)can't be bothered
b)can't find this thread (due in no small part to horrible forum mechanics)
c)uninstalled this game without a second thought
d)have signed other threads that should have been part of this thread (option b very much applies here)
e)are tired of signing threads that get little or no 'official' replies
f)have previously read an 'official' reply and, in furious anger thrown their computers out the window
g)or just don't feel it makes any difference
I would just like to point out to CCP - that over the year that I've been reading the forums, its gone from "If you don't fix [insert problem] I'm canceling [insert inflated number of accounts]" to (and this is what should scare CCP) "As soon as [insert name of one of the dozen or so new MMO games] comes out, I'm outta here."
CCP may not be seeing any dramatic drops in their sub base - but rest assured, there are companies gunning for top spot in Space/Fantasy MMO's. CCP's actions now can greatly influence the success of its competitors in the future.

I've had my connection drop twice in the last 4 hours - Not an uncommon occurrance since the 'Boost'***** up patch. I've noticed when i get dropped a few others (who I might add, live in very different areas in the world) have the same thing happen 
The server is as stable as a blindfolded geriactric trying iceskating for the first time.

Developing automated functional testing framework for EVE, something like froglogic.com has for Qt framework, should be the priority. Then run the test environment internally (maybe 4 systems in 2 regions) at 100x regular time.
Testing guidelines like CCP has them, with people going one step at a time, is just not going to cut it. I know what I speak of. People get tired of doing same functionality test over, and over, and over again for every unrelated change.
It should be run once, recorded, and replayed at 100x time speedup. And results should always match. Stuff like guns running out of ammo, BPO returning to station when lab blows up and BPO installed in station, ice processing, titan manufacturing, NPC station refining, etc, etc...
I know, CCP probably will never read this or care. Or it will be read by some support staff that doesn't really know what software development is or how QA runs... Oh well....
