Just as the title says..
I used to play Eve up to probably 5 or so months ago. In that time, I ended up uninstalling Eve due to lack of use. Up until today, I decided I wanted to play again. I reactivated my account, and downloaded it. I installed it, and upon double clicking on the icon on my desktop, the Splash image will open up.
Then nothing. My mouse will turn into an hour glass, and my computer will think for a moment. Then nothing. I can't click on anything until I press the windows key, and I can do anything I want with that tab opened. But nothing on the desktop will work. Whenever I alt+ctrl+del, it will say the task manager program failed, and all I can do is click "okay" to have it close. The only way I am able to close out of Eve is opening the Windows tab, right clicking on the Eve icon in the task bar, and close. It'll close no problems.
Help?

Edited by: Cain Calzon on 24/03/2008 04:26:45 have u upgraded to premium? there might be issues with some of the new features that the graphics card stops at when it loads the eve client. theres a way for u to se what the client does during the splash screen loading and from there on u figure out how to fix the issue at hand. heres what u do, create a new shortcut to ur eve client but instead of creating an shortcut to eve.exe in ur game folder goto EVE\bin and select exefile.exe instead. now when u run the new shortcut an command shell window will appear instead of the splash screen and now ull be able to se exactly what service halts eve from loading

Strangely enough random people get this issue, and 99% of the time they seem to be running the classic content, try upgrading to premium. Once premium is installed you can try telling it to run classic content, see if that helps... but a lot of people have had this issue with classic.
