Not sure if this has been discussed before but i'm just wondering if anyone else thinks the ability to manually warp your ship to any point within your current system would be useful, the only drawback as far as i can see would be it would render scan probes almost useless.
Also, making eve space "true 3d" so ships can float in any position (upside down, on it's side etc) would make it alot more realistic seeings as there is no real up or down in space.

The only drawback you saw is the only one you need to take note of to discredit this idea completely.
No-one would ever find anyone else has the hunted gotten minimal training in evasive actions.

Is space not mind-bogglingly, impossibly big? Let it be functionally big in EVE, as it is factually large in real life; with the proper technology, every square inch of open space can be taken advantage of, so why not extend this concept to the game world?
It would also give us a new use for the built-in scanners, possibly opening a new market for more advanced scanner arrays that don't take up modules, but might eat some cap power. ----------------------------------------------------- With the guidance of our Lord and our Emperor, I shall crush my enemies, see them driven before me, and hear the lamentations of their women. |
