Is there a way to remove them from your screen. I am not taking about the ones in your overview but the ones that are on the main screen that show where objects such as the walls and junctions are ones that have those annoying little white square boxes around them that slow your system down.

That is not what I am meaning. That is for your overview. Not your main screen. This all started with the latest patch for me and a few others that I have spoken with. Would just like the main screen to show only the objects and not the brackets that are there to show me where they are located.

If I understand you correctly, you want to know how to remove object icons displayed "in space". Is that correct? Please visit your user settings to re-enable images. |

the icons in space that represent walls, stations, ships, etc are called "brackets". the new overview features allow you to customize which ones are visible. so now i can have an overview tab that when active, ignores all those GSC and wrecks completely both in space and on the overview.
the brackets are applied as a second overview filter. so to have custom brackets you will want a separate overview preset:
1. use the default tab and setup your overview filter to show the objects that you want the brackets to be visible.
2. then save that as a preset, and close/reopen the overview settings window.
3. go to the new tab where you configure your overview tabs, and select your brackets preset for the brackets, and whatever overview filter preset.
4. once saved in the settings for the overview tabs, those presets will be the defaults for that tab, and will be applied whenever that overview tab is selected.
CCP really needs to add a tutorial on how to setup brackets presets, as well as some way to export them.
~~~~ ~~~~ ~~~~ Take away the risk and it would make flying around in space utterly pointless.
Take away the flying around part and you make EVE into a space themed spreadsheet application. |
