Is the next expansion going to be out this summer or xmas?
Also, aside from ambulation, has there been any news as to what it will include?

I donĘt know, when is the next major 2 week Icelandic Holiday. I notice they do major releases about 10 days before a long vacation so as to give them time to patch the catastrophe before they fall off the face of the earth.

The next expansion is due out in June. There was a link around here somewhere to an interview with a Dev where he said the June expansion would be Faction Warfare.
I would suspect that December will be Ambulation but that is just a guess. At least besides Faction Warfare and Ambulation I am not aware of any major expansion updates in the works (perhaps when they give stations and planets and what not the Trinity facelift is in there somewhere).

Don't mean to hijack this thread but starting a new one seems pointless so I'll just ask away. Will there be an extra subscription fee for any of the upcoming expansions?

Never ever is. Never has been anyway and CCP proudly points that out at every opportunity so I seriously doubt they will change. All new content is given for free (well, at least at no extra cost over your subscription). Definitely one of the cooler things about CCP.

No, the subscription fee will be the same. all updates/expansions are free, exept from the monthly fee.

I agree Jora'h. Being the relatively new player that I am, I must say I am very, very impressed to know that CCP does not play any financially motivated games (read: finding excuses to charge extra) with its player base.

But those are of course entirely optional and don't affect gameplay. You're not at a disadvantage if you don't get Eon magazine etc.

True, but in 4 years I haven't partaken in any of them, and the latter 2 are popular in most other MMOGs in one form or another.

Frankly, June seems unlikely. CCP doesn't seem to be that close to having a major expansion ready; last year CCP had already released a number of details about Revelations 2 by this point. A late summer (August) patch seems more likely, and Ambulation would be lucky to make 2008.

I think ambulnation is oging to be out this year. Lastest by kristmas and I canot wiat for it. 
We will habe twee dee kartoon in ambulnations and it is goign to rock. It is soemthing like Wrold of Warcarft.

The amount of times they change their minds I wouldn't be suprised if Factional Warfare is delayed AGAIN and Ambulation dosen't come till 2009 
I mean, what happened to Kali?
First it was Kali, features include factional warfare!
then it was 'Path to Kali'
then that got pushed back and it was 'Revelations'
and then they forgot about it and released Trinity
sooo.. ?

Lets hope desync is fixed before ambulation is launch, otherwise going through doorways will be challenging

In one of the debblogs they mentioned there would be a summer expansion and what seemed to be dev blogs within a week or two regarding the new expansion. So far I've yet to see said dev blogs. Some of the boost patch dev blogs were good. So far CCP seems to be pretty tight lipped about what they're up to. Little more than just hints about what they are planning.
My guess for the summer patch will be factional warfare, and a UI upgrade. A UI upgrade would be my hope. Faction warfare, I would want to see what they are even doing for that. But some of the lastest stories could be part of a build up for the loooonnnnggg promised war.

I actually thought that as well.
CCP surprised most people by managing to release Trinity when they did, albeit a bit buggy, so I think ambulation will be out before the end of the year - albeit a bit buggy

Apart from that I'm very curious what gameplay features it brings.

They already redid some of the faction battleships not all the long ago. Atleast the pirate battleships. What kind of changes do they have in mind I wonder. Maybe some new faction ships.

Faction warfare was promised during revelations through the KALI patch some two years ago but they never got round to doing it in revelations.
I dont think they will bring it in now till AFTER ambulation - your starbase agents will be implemented in ambulation for faction warfare .. perhaps medals and **** or mission orders (I think).
The next patch will be a clean up and perhaps UI upgrade ready for ambulation .. a small amount of content but I cant see faction warfare till after ambulation. Ambulation is going to bring loads of new players and its new players that eve wants. The marketing strategy is for loads of new players first then faction warfare. What better way to entice players to keep paying the subs than an al out unniversal war.
