1. New secure containers called mining cans will now be available each of which has a 27k m3 capacity. 2. All mission gates will now be locked so that only the person doing the mission and members of their gang can pass through them. 3. You will now only be able to salvage a wreck if you would be able to use a tractor beam on it. 4. All players on trial accounts will be invulnerable to attack from other players but unable to lock other players themselves. 5. War decelerations between corps will be increased in cost based on the size of the two corporations. In addition the CEO of a corp will have the ability to pay 100 million isk to Concord in order to cancel all war decelerations against them and make their corp unable to be war-decked for a week. 6. Tech 2 ship insurance prices will be raised to be equivalent to the purchase cost given current market conditions. 7. Pre-fitted ships will be provided for sale from NPC mission running stations with a suitable fitting for running missions of that level. 8. Finally players will be able to pay a protection fee to Concord. This will cost larger amounts for larger ships with a similar pricing scheme to insurance. Concord will then protect that ship in low security space with a security level depending on the size of the payment made.
Excuse my anger, and I am sure some of you disagree with my opinions. But they are my opinions. But....
WHEN THE HELL WAS EVE MADE TO APPEAL TO THE WIDER AUDIENCE?
#1: No Problem
#2: SafeZones? Anywhere? Impenetrable fortresses for money making and carebearific steaming piles of crap? Grow the hell up, missions were made for jacking, and anyone that has a mind can avoid getting ganked in missions by using their scanner.
#3: No Problem
#4: Is this a JOKE? Think of the ABUSE! I dont even need to elaborate on all the problems with this.
#5: I have no personal problem, but I am sure that there are a feckload of people crying their eyes out at this.
#6: No real problem, but it will hurt ransoms that I make.
#7: Again, you are KILLING PVP! This.. is.. not... WoW.
I, personally, would like to see these ideas thrown out. Whoever pushed them forward sacked, and Ovuer given Tuxfords job position. ----------------------------------------

"Impenetrable fortresses for money making and carebearific steaming piles of crap"
With your permission, I plan on incorporating the above phrase into my day to day conversations. Hilarious.

1) Unlikely. Doesn't seem like CCP to me at all. 2) Okay. 3) Reasonable. 4) Impossible. Scout abuse possibilities are endless. 5) Impossible, abuse is endless here too. 6) Can't wait to see that happen. 7) Impossible. 8) Impossible, abuse again.
Smells like total bull, this is something noone wants, not even the most zealous bears.

Even on April Fool's Day a painfully large number of troll threads were being taken seriously by a painfully large number of people. I'm starting to think that the forum for a game with broad international appeal may not be the place for sarcasm, since anyone who's taken any foreign language courses has probably heard at least once that sarcasm is the hardest thing to learn in a new language.

This happens every year, you'd figure people would figure it out by now.
Just think about it like this:
What time of year is it (roughly what's the date)?
Does this sound like anything ccp would do? Ever?
Given the answer to these questions, happy April Fools, sucker.

Yep, as has been said a few times in the thread, this came from the Tribune's April Fools issue. It is 100% pure made up bull. 100%. It's all made up. Hell, I specifically wrote a front page article which, I figured, was so outlandish as to be a major clue as well as providing the date for the whole issue as "April 1st". We then, even, changed the name for the whole issue to "April Fools".
It's a joke. ------------------------------------------------ Hohohoho, Mister Finn, youÆre going to be Mister Finnagain! Comeday morm and, O, youÆre vine! SenddayÆs eve and, ah, youÆre vinegar! Hahahaha, Mister |
