I've thought of a lot of ideas for new ships and a barrage of ways, bizarre and not-so-much, to improve game play. Here's one of them.
This idea might have been thought of before and shot down, or simply just faded away. I didn't check the database (too lazy) so, whoever thought of this before, I apologize.
Introduction:
As we all know, fights in the Eden happen at spawn points, undocking point, stargates, and outside the POS shield the majority of the time. I realized that fights that happen in the middle of nowhere, quite literally so, such as safe spots, are very rare due to sheer stupidity of one side and not the superior tactical decision of the other. So, I thought about Warp Column Disruptor.
Well, what, exactly, in a nutshell, is it?
When a ship enter warp, it opens a warp column. This column appears as a tunnel when seen from the ship in said column. The warp column disruptor.. well.. disrupt this column. The disruptor creates abnormalities in warp space and force vessels to return to conventional space.

Warp Column Disruptor can only be fitted on a Supercap.
Duration: 5 Minutes Fuel Type: 100 units of Strontium, 500 units of racial Isotopes. Capacitor Usage: 30% maximum capacitor. Range: 65,000km (this is the range where vessels will leave warp space into conventional space. In a nutshell, a ship can "drop out of warp" anywhere from zero km to 65k km from the point of origin.)
Script: Warp Space Destabilizer Range: 450km Decription: Destabilize the computer controlling the warpcore of all nearby vessels, causing a "miswarp". In a nutshell, instead of pin-point warp to zero to an object, bookmark, gangmate, a vessel will land anywhere between zero and 50 kilometer of said object, bookmark, gangmate.
Once the module is activate, the ship's velocity will be reduced to zero, and cannot jump or warp. Titan(s) cannot activate Doomsday Device during this duration due to the destabilized column of space surrounding the vessel(s). Because to this, the module boosts the defense capacity of the vessel so that it would be able to withstand the incoming fire. (similar to siege mode of dreadnoughts) Furthermore, this module cannot be activate when vessel is within a POS shield due to interferences with the force field.
What is the purpose of this then?
Well, it puts the supercap on the front line. There has been God-only-knows how much crying about these ships hiding behind certain objects (cyno jammer, POS shield, and Heaven forbid, the blob).
Notes
- No, you cannot setup such trap as dual titans one disrupt and one DD. It's how I intended it to work. - You cannot run this module permanently. It takes 30% of maximum capacitor per cycle. At most, it will run for 5 cycles (25minutes).
The idea is still very crude. Thus needing a lot of refinement, and balancing.

the idea of the warp column is only backstory material. it's hardly dictate that a module can disrupt one single column and that's it.
due to the sheer size of the module, and the resource it requires for activation, it affects a much larger area of space than just one single column. it provides tactical superior, that's if the pilot(s) have the balls to put the supercap on the line of fire. ---------------------- What happens in Pelennor stays in Pelennor.
