Make local only show you when you speak, all the boost black ops would ever need.
I'd love to use them bridging fleets of cov ops and stealthbombers around, but it's rather pointless if everyone can see you doing it.

Agreed for 0.0 entirely, though you would still see 90% of a goon fleet comming

Edited by: Ma Zhiqiang on 08/04/2008 21:19:23 Stealth bombers can't use covert ops cloaks either. Black ops have a different purpose. The only thing they'd need is a bigger cargo or rather assigned fuel bay for using the covert jump portal generator.

I agree, double cargo or so :D
Ive noticed that 99.9% of people on these forums have a signature. If you are one of the 0.1% that doesnot have a sig, copy this into your sig, and display your defiance towards people with sigs. |

If you listened to the live dev blog, CCP said that thye will give the black ops a bigger cargobay or seperate fuelbay. And that it was a fix they where hoping to get out real soon.

^^This.
Also it would be nice if they allowed them to setup a cyno even where a cyno jammer is in effect. Then they'd come into their own and be valuable.

A interesting idea someone had was make blockade runners able to use the covert ops jump. Would be part of the logistics to a recon group.

Signed:
that would make yet another utterly useless ship useful. As it is now the blockabe runner is its own blockade.

Make it so that covert cynos aren't stopped by cyno jammers.

This tbh
Pretty much any system you'd want to be jumping into will be jammed.

for the love of god let them be immune to t1 cloak scan res penalty if you(zulupark)ever want to see them used purposefully in combat....even if you remove the immunity to decloak penalty, the main thing is that these ships should be able to warp in(uncloaked ofc) and lock a target without having to completely gimp the mids with a rack of sensor boosters.
even with a jump fuel bay these ships remain glorified transport ships until they get to lock a bit faster. |

Thats actually pretty interesting (and good) idea. Almost every blocade runner fits cloak in it's hi slot anyway so they are almost 'stealth' ships anyway.
