getting really annoying now
I zoom a lot, and I use ctrl to lock things. So naturally whenever I lock a target, there's a good chance I have to go through that pointless map zoom animation and loading times - extremely disruptive to what you're doing
Yet nowhere I've looked there seems to be a way to disable it. Anyone know if it's possible? ...

Never found a way to turn it off... Used it intentionally a few times while scanning stuff. However, there is a box somewhere with an option to turn off the zoom animation thing, that might help? Ive noticed that 99.9% of people on these forums have a signature. If you are one of the 0.1% that doesnot have a sig, copy this into your sig, and display your defiance towards people with sigs. |

I use ctrl for my push to talk button in teamspeak so this rather annoys me as well

I have never once accidentally done this. If fact I only recently found out that CTRL+SCROLL did this.
Why would you lock a target while simultaneously zooming? Please visit your user settings to re-enable images. |

In your map settings you can disable the zoom animations. If you colour stars by sec status (instead of something that takes a while to query) and unflatten the map it zooms almost instantly.
I didn't even know about the Ctrl+Zoom. I'll have to give that a try!
