I'd like to mine with some people but I have absolutely no clue how things are divided evenly between the guy who transport the ore to the miners with different ships and amount of ore each person gets over time. How are things done?

I'm assuming it's your corp. your mining with, but a lot of it is trust with whoever is driving the ship with the minerals.

Yea but some might have different skills and not everyone use the same ship so people end up getting different amount of Ore over time. Is there a system people use to calculate all of that?

Don't worry too much about getting everything 100% fair. It's not worth the trouble. Just give everyone who participated an equal share, including the fighters who protected your mining operation. The people who get more than they contributed can use the extra money to buy better skills and equipment so they can make a better contribution next time. The people who get less than they contributed probably didn't need the money that badly anyway . |

yep. a straight split is usually good.
although if you have to haul a long distance - unescorted, haulers sometimes get a double share.
say - 3 miners, 1 defender, 1 hauler thats 5 people... divide the haul by 5 and distribute. or if the hauler is doing dangeous hauls - dived by 6 and give him a double share.
of course, there are other ways to do it, but they get to be too much hassle. -----

Try to be effective as well though. Generally you'll be doing high sec mining until your skills get up so don't bother with haulers or defenders. Simply have one guy take it all in at the end of the group mining.
If you're doing low sec mining (Or have five or more people mining) then get a hauler and if the spawns are too big for the drones to take out, a defender as well. Make sure not to have too many haulers or defenders however. The main reason is that you want to make some money too, and if you have four guys, two of which are a hauler and defender, you're making far less then you would if you solomined. Here are some rules that I go by:
High sec mining: - No defenders (Use drones for defence). - 1 hauler indy for every 20 miner 2's.
Low sec mining: - Have one defender, if you're mining jaspet or higher, better make it 2 cruisers, or 1 battleship. - 1 hauler indy for every 20 miner 2's (subtract 5 for every jump your hauler would have to go. So if your station is 2 jumps away, then one hauler for every 10 miner 2's.) - Be ready to run if pirates show up. -----------------------------------

I divide by the number of lasers. Basic miners count as half of a miner one, miner 2 might be double a miner 1, or 1.5x, ive forgotten which, but look at how much ore/time it pulls in the info. Usually everyone is using miner 1's. If you have one thorax with 5 lasers and 2 punishers with co-processors so they can run 3 lasers each, you give the thorax 5/11 of the ore or minerals, depending on who wants to refine.
