So I really like the look of the prophecy, but I cannot seem to come up with any setup that I like. Does anyone use this in PvP / have any suggested builds? Or is the Harbinger just entirely better.
Just as a preemptive strike, this is not a whine thread. I actually do want a Prophecy setup that I can use.

agreed maller is cheaper bait ship and more effective with plates and small gunz... harbinger is awesome 4 pvp .. go high dps and pg rig... with plates fitted.. v good dps ship 4 a gang and with scorch crystals ur nearly always in optimal in medium to small engagements

Edited by: max scrotes on 11/04/2008 01:06:11 if you are using lasers, sure the harbinger is better, by miles. but i see you are caldari, do you have medium hybrids trained ? try this
ok for solo and small gangs. get close and hit 'em hard. very nice dps ( for a prophecy ) not very cap friendly though in a sustained engagement

I was thinking the same. Only if you want to fit a 1600mm plate with Heavy Pulses but...meh.

Thats not terrific, T2 Ions and a third magstab with a HAM offers more, and you can fit a 1600 plate which is better than an unsustainable repper.

imo i like prophesy for pve - im my oppinion it tnaks harder, BUT in pvp harbinger all the way it has a good tank but does more dmge
alos i know alot of ppl fit hybrids on the proph or ac's coz the prof only gets a cap boni and no dmge boni...

doesn't fit. not enough pg and cpu ? I'm afraid it does fit because i have one. Can't remember if i needed a cheapo 1% pg implant or not. Still CPU is definitely ok with ANP.

edit: rigs make the ship too expensive imo for just a blaster proph. but each to their own :)
Bet you 100 million ISK, right here, right now as the forum is my witness. No rigs, only a 1% implant. MWD, 1600 plate, 6 x T2 Ions and a HAM with full tackle. Bet me?

lol i am not a gambler, just trying to help a fellow pilot out with a decent proph setup, perhaps give him some ideas. but personally i wouldn't like to lose a low slot to a pdu or something similar. as i said though, each to their own. you may be more helpful to the op by posting your setup instead.

Dude please, a fitting mod? Your setup is poor, I have already posted mine if you would only read before you post. The only module missing is a DC2. Now how come you couldn't work that out in EFT, run the setup then call me a liar.

lol, yeah but the grid sucks really badly on the brute, no resists, less lowslots, less armour, smaller guns and a useless repping bonus. Plus that's just what they'd expect

I once experimented with using a Prophecy as a heavy tackler with energy warfare capabilities. I could go over 1000m/s with a microwarpdrive and had two or even three medium newts on it fueled by cap boosters, protected by a tough tank.
It was destroyed in its first battle but it was to a blob, so there's no telling whether it was a good or bad fit. I remember feeling that it was really going to ruin that Armageddon pilot's day, until his friends showed up.
