I was wondering if anyone knew anywhere that has a list of corps and alliances active on Eve? It would be nice to be able to look up who is at war with who û as well as what systems various corps have sovereignty over. I realise that this might not be publicly available, or it might only be available to be found out in-game, but I thought there might be some sort of out-of-game database or site that lists some of this (or other) information about various corps.

There are thousands of corps in Eve, and numerous alliances, and this changes daily. There's no way to any sort of official set of data. You can use the corp interface to see who's fighting whom. For sovereignty, check out the Corp and Alliances forum, CAOD, which has a map of what's happening. Also the ingame map will tell you this.
Really these things change too frequently for there to be any totally accurate guide or anything of the like out there.

Thanks for that!
I just wondered if there was a player-run or in game database of the top Corps/Alliances - I guess not then! I'm interested in collating all that sort of data along with conventional recon info to produce reports for clients - I'm thinking of starting/joining an intel corp once I finish training the skills I need on my other character.

Well, check out the corporations button on your neocom, it has quite a bit of information. You can always check out the sovereignty maps and the like that people have made available. Outpost Alert, Influence Map and that kind of thing.
However, unless you can make similar but unique tools for yourself using the same publicly available information that those use, it's all information that anyone can get anyway. You may be better off trying to act as a scout or spy instead.

THat's basically what I was planning to do with a bunch of RL friends. We would keep tabs on the major corps, almost like a "range" - locations of POS, fuel delivery schedulers, player lists ect. We would look into corp infiltration as a source if info gathering as well. The sort of info I was asking for would provide a good idea on "who's hot" at the moment and therefore worth keeping tabs on as part of our standard "range" of services. The idea being that we would then do contract work o other, non-standard corps/organisations as well. As I said, I've only been playing for a short while, and a couple of our friends a bit less - the espionage/recon for hire thing is what appeals to us most of all - Shame recon ships and covert cloaks are soooo expensive!

But nah, of course they're expensive to a new player.
What you're planning to do is going to be hard, but I hope you succeed, so good luck!

Yup, especially as we are trining our mains for this at the moment and only have crappy mining alts to generate cash at the moment.
As for it being hard, I expect it'll take a while to get stuff up and running, but the person who introduced me to eve explained it's all about the long game :D

I'd try contacting Serenity Steele (I think I spelt that right) - the owner and/or admin of the Outpost Alert and associated services. No point in duplicating, but Serenity might have some area that you could take on. Cheers Baka ______________________ Isn't it time you learned to fight back? You can get a full alliance list, including member corporation id's, from the EVE API.
There isn't a full corporation list, but you can pull info about a particular corp if you have its id.

Thanks Tkar, just figuring out how to use the API even as I type this! I think that gathering and collating much of the publicly available information won't prove too much trouble, I'm more concerned about how tricky it might be to sneak a pilot (in covert recon) into sovereign space - esp if there is an active gate camp. You can't spy on someone if you can't get into their system!
