I'm probably being incredibly thick, but I can't figure it out... I'm trying to get one tab with just ships, one with wrecks and cargo cans, and one with oribital bodies (planets, stations, stargates and stuff). But I can't work out how to get different tabs displaying different stuff, if I click on things and select to add/remove them from overview, it does it to all the tabs...
Is there some sort of idiot's guide to working the overview tabs somewhere?

The overview acts the same as before. What you do is goto Overview Settings and adjust the filters to your liking. Then select to save the settings as whatever you wish. Right click on the default tab and select 'Add Tab'. Go back to your overview settings click on the Overview Tab tab at the top. Here you can set what ever overview setting that you saved before as the display for that new tab. You can also Right click on the tab in the overview and change it there too. It's not really that hard if you just play around with it a bit. ------------------------------------

Yeah, just remember never to use the "Default" tab, it's buggy and cannot be programmed. Create other tabs, then go to overview settings and assign the desired presets to the desired tabs.
"Brackets" are the things that show up as icons in space. You'll need to create a preset for the brackets you want to see, too. For example, I have a preset that shows drones, cargo cans, wrecks -- almost everything but large collidables -- and I use this not for any of my overview tabs but just for the brackets setting on all tabs. So, when I'm using overview tab that only shows ships, I can still see the drones and wrecks on screen but not in the overview.
Remember to make an overview tab for your favorite directional scanner filter.

That'll be the problem then... Also explains why I have all the brackets showing all over the place even with most of them switched off.
Cheers, I'll have a bit more of a tinker and see if I can get it figures out...
