I'm having trouble finding the Macintosh TQ-to-Sisi patch. Does anyone have a working download link? The links on Chruker and http://community.eveonline.com/patches/patches.asp?s=singularity aren't working.
When I tried to have the EVE client, itself, auto-download the patch, something claiming to install a "Launcher" froze on my computer and needed to be Force Quit. Survivor of Teskanen. -áFan of John Rourke.

I also didn't find a patch so i just downloaded the whole sisi mac client: http://community.eveonline.com/download/?s=singularity
Yeah...it's a huge chunk of data...
EDIT: btw...this new sisi client doesn't use the usual preferences folder in 'Application Support'. I configured the Info.plist within the app so it points to my usual Sisi settings folder (to separate it from my TQ client)...but it didn't work. If anyone has an idea? |

The current Mac launcher for sisi wants to connect to TQ and so the workaround is to start the launcher in that folder pointing at singularity.
You need to do this from the command line using the following, assuming your singularity client is in Applications and named "EVE Singularity. This command is case sensitive, like all things in the terminal:
""" /Applications/EVE\ Singularity.app/Contents/MacOS/EVE\ Online /server:87.237.38.50 """

Is there a way to make that command into a shortcut instead of having to go into terminal every time? |

In your copied application, show package contents and go to contents, but don't edit the Info.plist file here. Instead go to the Resources folder. There is an icon there call Eve Online, right click this and show package contents. Go to the contents folder of this. Edit the Info.plist file in this folder in the way you had been doing in the past and save your changes. |

Okay, this was working yesterday (Wednesday, after spending 4 hours waiting for the full Singularity client to download) and I was able to set up ships for the Mass Test. However, it is not working with the new build today and I cannot get onto Singularity.
[edit] Wait, I just tried launching one of my duplicated Singularity clients using the Terminal command, above, again, and now it seems to be patching. But, for the life of me, I can't figure out what's different. Maybe because I tried it now instead of two hours ago? [/edit] Survivor of Teskanen. -áFan of John Rourke.

Like Seamus my launcher for Sisi seemed to be working ok yesterday and early this morning. In logging on a few minutes ago my EvE launcher tried to update my EvE Online app. It seemed to have downloaded the files ok, but when it got to the first step of patching I've received the following exception:
http://pastebin.com/eJLDpfxN
I'm going to try to duplicate my TQ app and try to update it to Sisi again. |

Okay, not even redownloading the entire Singularity client (all 5 gigabytes of it) helped. Are there any Macintosh users who can get onto Singularity? Survivor of Teskanen. -áFan of John Rourke.

Duplicating the client, changing the bundle name to include SiSi and using the command line switch to connect to Singularity and starts patching but getting the same error as PipBrown. Reproduced on Lion on 2 separate computers. |

The new build (346707) is working. I just downloaded the new full client so no idea if the patching works. Now it's crashing every minute and string formats are seen everywhere in the UI, but at least it starts

Same here. As soon as I open the first or sometimes the second window it crashes. No matter which window it seems. A single time I had a crash when searching the market. |

yea, i could undock and be in space for a minute but as soon as i pull up the overview settings and switch a tab the game crashes. i'm pretty sure it has something to do with all the string formats that are incomplete. if you look under graphics settings for example you will notice all %-signs and stuff that is ment to be substituted for real values. they are probably changing up the way the UI works with that system and it's very incomplete right now. |

I downloaded 346707 last night, which took a few hours while I slept, then logged in to find that the build had changed this morning. The Sisi client patched to 347060 without a problem in the patching process.
Logging in seemed to be fine, but I can't convince the client to use the "EVE Online Sisi1" folder in Application Support instead of "EVE Online". Captain's Quarters loaded without a problem. I switched to Ship Hangar view without a problem. Switching ships was okay, as well as undocking. But, once I jumped through a Stargate, the game froze (except for the music) and a half-minute later, I was told there was an unhandled exception. The Overview never loaded any objects on the other side.
I Force Quit the client and log in again. Logging in goes without a problem, and my ship comes back from an Emergency Warp to the far side of the Stargate I successfully jumped through. However, the Overview had no objects on it. I right-click empty space to bring up the Context Menu, which immediately freezes the game and seconds later throws an unhandled exception. Patching from 347060 to 347628 right now gives this error http://pastebin.com/D8fmjAP
Launching again it tries to patch from 347628 to 344784. Lower version number seems odd, but ok Update gives this error http://pastebin.com/PFiD8PAg |

Miccet's first link doesn't seem to work, as PasteBin doesn't have a file there. It might have expired too early. I suspect I'm running into the same problem, though.
I just tried to patch from 347060 to 348227 in preparation for the Mass Test today, and got the following: http://pastebin.com/6jQU7LbH
Trying to launch the Singularity client again seemed to start a patching process from 348227 to 344784 (Sisi to TQ), and eventually threw the following error: http://pastebin.com/tc6eUp9s
Trying to Launch the Singularity client a third time just has the splash rectangle for Crucible appear for a moment, and then silently quit.
Given that I don't have time to redownload the entire Singularity client from eveonline.com (it would take 5 hours), this is blocking me from participating in today's Mass Test, again. Survivor of Teskanen. -áFan of John Rourke.

CCP: any word on how us Mac users can get on Sisi? The mass test is soon.
I downloaded a new client, ran it with the terminal command. It seems to update to the current sisi build, but clicking "play" results in it trying to connect to TQ.
Any help here?

Starting the client through the terminal with /server:Singularity is working for me at least (but I'm not experienced with Macs, so I'm only following the instructions...)

I have tried it with
/Applications/EVE\ Onlinesisi.app/Contents/MacOS/EVE\ Online /server:87.237.38.50
or
/Applications/EVE\ Onlinesisi.app/Contents/MacOS/EVE\ Online /server:Singularity
And both ways it tries to connect to TQ.
Do I got all the punctuation and spacing correct? Any other ideas?

Made it work.
The issue is the new launcher always goes for the Eve Online folder in application support, despite any editing in info.plist. So what I did was add
[AppDefaults\\EVE.exe\\transgaming] "cmdlineadd" = "/server:87.237.38.50"
to the config file in that folder.
(Actually I renamed the eve online folder, and renamed the eve onlinesisi folder to eve online). I am running for the CSM. Take a look at my ideas. http://vincentoneve.wordpress.com/ |

You need to do this from the command line using the following, assuming your singularity client is in Applications and named "EVE Singularity. This command is case sensitive, like all things in the terminal:
""" /Applications/EVE\ Singularity.app/Contents/MacOS/EVE\ Online /server:87.237.38.50 """
While the command line is not the sexiest solution, it sure is amazing what functionality it adds to an otherwise broken update. Following the above instructions I'm still connecting to TQ. |

That is what I did as well but for some reason it worked yesterday and not today once the launcher made an uPdate. Now I went back and retried everything here and still no luck, wouldn't it just be easier to make two separate launchers and move on???

Wow ok so I understand your hiephenated comment at the end. I changed the two folders in library and I am making a mental note that they are each using the others name but now sisi works. I did have to add all the other specifics as well but renaming the two folders will work for now.
Great discovery!
Edit: now it's an incompatable version lol really??? And the launcher is useless with no options for me to scan for updates and it would most likely only find ones for TQ and not sisi anyways, launcher still useless! Sisi still unplayable! : ( |

Yup, even following Vincent's instructions i am still unable to connect to Singularity.
The client now points to singularity, but says that my version is out of date. I click ok to dl the new version. The program quits, but no download happens. Highly reproduceable. |

Seeing the same now. It downloads the patch, but doesn't apply it. Maybe the launcher needs to be pointed to SiSi as well?
