Who here actually remembers when scanning down ships in safes was an art? (Before scan probes)
CCP have already dumbed down the scanning/probing enough where any clueless Joe can launch a probe and push a button and yet there are still some people that find this hard... unreal

Depends on your system and programming language. Most systems are 32 bit these days so it's 2,147,483,647 but yeah you are correct it's signed not unsigned. ---------------------------------------- A Guide to Scan Probing in Revelations |

I hear you. The thing is, the old system is gone forever, and changing this isn't going to affect the (lack of) skill involved in any significant way. Will it be less clunky? Yes.
I mean, it's one of those little things in EVE that just seems unfinished. |

Could we also have the directional scanner show on the solarsystem f10 map view? It would be helpful to see the "searchlight" from your scanner sweeping the system...
The directional scanner used to do just that in the solar system view. But then they changed probes last year, just before Trinity 1.0, to make them way more useful and in that same patch, they removed the searchlight from the directional scanner, and also made it unable to detect NPC ships.

So you've learned C/++ eh?
Well I'm talking about the mathematical concept of an integer, not a particular flavor based on a particular language and platform. |
