Say Juunigaishi.
Supposed to have 12 roid belts according to fluidorbit.co.uk.
Even if I manually add "Celestial Items -> Asteroid Belts" to my overview (which strangely is NOT added by loading mining defaults) I can not find a single belt in the system, not on the overview, not in space, nowhere.
Another small stealth nerf CCP? --

Edited by: Tarminic on 16/04/2008 16:47:03 Can you see them by right-clicking in space?
EDIT: More importantly, how up-to-date is that website? I remember that CCP removed some high-sec belts in very crowded systems awhile back. ---------------- Tarminic - 34 Million SP in Forum Warfare Play EVE: Downtime Madness v0.81 (Updated 4/8) |

Nope to the first, and to the second: Maybe not 100% up to date but I'm pretty sure these systems had belts. I was in a neighbouring system as well which also had plenty of moons but no belts. This does not look right.
In the meantime I jumped to Ikao, which has lots of belts. So its not my overview settings, and I maintain the point that IMHO the belts in Juunigaishi have been "lost" ... somehow. --

Correct me if I'm wrong.. but I think that belts that have been completley mined of all roids dissapear from the list? I'm not 100% on this though..

No, mined out belts stay on the list. But. This is actually a nice idea for the transition from static belts to scanned belts, if it ever happens. Current static belts stop to respawn and disappear once mined out, instead scanned belts appear. -------- Ideas for: Mining Clouds

I used to mission regularly in Suroken and often traveled through Juunigaishi. They have never had belts, to my knowledge. I assumed that some systems just don't have asteroid belts. Makes sense to me. _____________ Hai. |

anyone have an old bookmark to where the belts used to be in those systems? maybe the roids are still there but nobody can find them? ~~~~ ~~~~ ~~~~ Take away the risk and it would make flying around in space utterly pointless.
Take away the flying around part and you make EVE into a space themed spreadsheet application. |

The fluidorbit ore map has not been upfated since 2006. More than a few things have changed since then. |
