Originally by: Yusra Thank you Revan for organizing this. I can only imagine how busy you must have been.
I was particularly impressed by the speeches of some of the other candidates. I am glad that there are 9 seats on the Council, enough for them all to get elected. To have to decide between them would tougher than flying an unescorted mammoth from Deklein, to Fountain then Delve.
I mirror your words, I was very impressed by all CSM candidates and I trully hope some of you will make it there. Good show.
Thank you for your participation.
Lavista Vista, yes it would have been faster with the use of voice comms but as some candidates opted for not using it, I could only proceed with the event inside eve, as it was and we made the best of it despite the delay on shedulle. I'm glad to know that you enjoyed it and thanks for your paticipation.
Mr Heliocon, I'm sorry you felt this way about the event. In an non controlled ambient everything can happen and if you read our RoE you'll see that we could not be responsible for all alliances and corporations actions during the 6 hours of the event. SF actions were their own and I'm sure Jade conducted her business as any other alliance would following their role play precepts. My advice to you or other players who preffers a totally predictable event, is to wait for ccp to organize them as gms have better possibilities to create a total controlled environment to players that preffers this way. Still, my thanks for your participation.

Originally by: Heliocon There was 0 security and SF controled the system to try and hsow off muscle.
I have to argue with you on this point Heliocon. We were not there to try and show off muscle we were there to provide adequate security for our CEO, Executive Officer, Gladiators and other VIP guest we had in attendance. Our actual fleet size was rather small in fact and was simply designed to cover our people if it became neccesary. Of course we did attack and kill a couple of people who were hostile to us but none of this was anywhere enar the gladiators or the station in which we assumed the gladiators were docked. Revan specifically stated that people attending the events should bring security with them if they felt the need to do so and Star Fraction did just that. The fact that not many others decided to do so wasn't under our control and in fact we expected much more than what there was. ---

While I do not blame Revan for the misfortune of the even I was told there would be security which there was none provided. I and the other gladiators where not told either to stay in ss cloaked.... I could not make the match because a pair of hacs camped station and you could not remove them. In the end while it was a good idea and im sure you tried your best it was not well organised resulting in gladiators resinging and being unable to fight.. not to mention you confirmed to me the fighting would be in low sec not high sec.

[IC] It is ironic that some would complain about security and being killed by others at an event hosted by Blooders in the first place. You laid down with the Blooders and are upset your bed is full of blood. Let the wanton violence demonstrated at this gladiator event be a lesson to those who would think things like this are "fun". Violence for the sake of simply being violence is not "fun". Your participation at this event of sin is noted not just by those who speak but by God Himself and rest assured I doubt at the end of your lives He will be smiling when He reads the list of actions of your life and decides whether you will join Him in paradise or be cast down into an eternity of damnation.
While you have sinned already and attended this event a public display of repentence would be useful in showing your wish to atone for your actions and your humility before the Almighty. Repent now blood sinners and beg God is listening lest your futures surely be dark ones.

Well Heliocon, you are a member of a self-proclaimed "nbsi elite pvp" alliance. Ultimately one expects such people to be able to defend themselves. Further you are -10 to us and a valid target in ordinary circumstances. We made an exception for you on this occasion because you were a gladiator and allowed you to reach the fight if you were able. But we had absolutely no obligation to protect you from other neutrals and our event patrol team was entirely focused on ensuring that nobody interfered with our own gladiator the accomplished and eventual tournament champion miss Nidia Masters.
On other matters, I'd like to thank Lady Revan for the immense efforts and dedicated undertaking in organizing this festival of carnage, it was immense fun and very enjoyable throughout. The CSM discussions and gladiator games went to completion and we even managed to settle scores with representatives of various -10 nere-do-wells who dared to try and order SF ships about in local chat.
Pro-tip for Vlad Cetes of Unnatural Selection. If you are a member of a -10 alliance who has previously attacked and boasted about killing Star Fraction vessels its not the wisest thing in the world to a) start giving imperious orders and commands to free-spirited free captains in local lowsec channels. b) sit at gates in a rare and expensively-equipped Nightmare class vessel, and c) then aggress a random neutral hauler jumping into system to ensure that you are incapable of jumping out when a Star Fraction battlegroup arrives in local to dispense summary justice for your past crimes. If you really were "event security" one has to wonder why you were pirating haulers on the jump-in - live by the sword die by the sword old chap.
Delicious really.
But to close I'd like to thank Lady Revan again on behalf of all the free captains in attendance. It was an excellent event and the effort put in was very evident to all involved. The CSM discussions were a real community service (and I look forward to seeing the chatlogs publicized soon), the spectacle of faction-cruisers dueling was exciting, the mayhem and battles were top-notch and the hostess outdid herself for poise under pressure and remaining focused on the event despite numerous challenges and unexpected circumstances. (Thanks also for PIE corporation for sending a comedy Amarrian jester to amuse us all and then get podded by GHSC, top entertainment!)
10/10 from me.

[OOC] Organizing and running events is one of the most difficult and stressful things you can attempt to do. You toss all your coins up in the air and hope they land on "heads". The reality is nothing ever works out as planned 100% but if the people had a good RP experience and would try again it's worth it.
What is the rest of the reality? Well the reality that you really can't control everything about an event.
1. People don't show up. 2. Someone gatecamps/crashes the party. 3. Murphy's Law (if it can go wrong it will).
You make a plan, make some posters, make a press release, organize the participants, show up at the event an hour early and RL PRAY IT WORKS. It's a hell of a life.
I've planned and run over a dozen player events in my Eve career and without a doubt there isn't anything I've done in Eve that has been more stressful or satisfying. I've never had one go 100% as planned, some were downright "bad" early in my career, yet you come back and do it again because it was good RP. Good RP can overcome the things that OOC might not be perfect. That's enough for RPers to make it worthwhile and to do it again.
Good job on this event Revan I know it was alot of work. I look forward to your next one and rest assured the evil slavers will be there to condemn the blooders as usual.

If there was a PIE pilot there harrassing the event please let us know who it was and send chatlogs. At the time the event was being held the Golden Fleet was wandering thru Heimatar trying to engage EM and UK forces. We spent several hours there and I'm not aware of any PIE pilot being authorized to act as a "comedy jester".

Well, I never thought I would come here to say this but thank you Achbishop for your words. We have started in bad terms here and I hope that we can end with these positive words in light of present and perhaps future interactions for the good development of the role play community.
As for the PIE pilot, I can confirm that there was one eliminated during the event, his body was delivered to Revan by Istvaan. I had no time yet to check local logs but whatever his participation was, if it was in character it was a contribution to the event and for that I thank him as well.
Now that the event is done and all went well (inside all the aspects that archbishop wrote above) we can see things with a more relaxed approach.

I might get flogged for bothering with this, but some clarifications:
The "HACs camping stations" mentioned by Heliocon were in no way SF, it was us, and SF of course had no obligation to remove us. This event was targeted by Stimulus for disruption due to it's organizer, who has a past of attempting to disrupt us and otherwise insulting our intelligence, and we did everything in our power to ensure the achievement of our objective - stopping short only from engaging or disrupting friends of ours such as the Star Fraction.
The Star Fraction, while already clear of guilt due to not being your security, are furthermore clear of guilt because they were actually deceived by myself as to our reasons for being in the vicinity. It was only after the assassination of Revan Neferis that they were informed of what we were there to do.
If someone is sore and wants to point fingers, let them point at us. We will accept responsibility with great pride.

As I stated on my post on the previous page, the event went well and all alliances and corporations who added their participation, at space, in channels, at local have my thanks for taking their time and joining us. We just give attention to something that is important to us and for a Sani Sabik this is all that matters. All actions and reactions can be adapted and rejoiced as the event is a Blood event and the fights at space not only from ex-sf but ALL the alliances and corporations involved was very welcome.
Thank you Tatsue for bringing your guys to the event and participating with us. In role play terms even gave me a whole new chapter inside the book of rituals " The holy Archaeus of Blood " as the prophecy states the Blood of Sovereign opening the games as an ancient tradition to invoke the spirits of old
As Archie said, if it is for the good of role play all is valid. Rest assured that Heliocon and none of the players involved will hold any issues againt any alliances or corporations involved. At least this is the common sense.

Well well no rest for the wicked. Bloodveil starts now to take a look at the logs to confirm active V.I.P guests that attended the event and contributed to it in order to begin the ashimuu deliveries. This won't be a fast process due to our rl commitments but I have a few Bloodveil Initiates helping to speed up the process.
Obviously if you just logged and stayed there as a frozen toon during the event, you won't receive your ship for obvious reasons. This is a prize as a thank you for your participation.
I'll start by delivering the first ship to Istvaan Shogaatsu. He was a wonderful guest, brought a lot of good entertainment and annoyance as well *winks* to the channels, very active at space as well. Istvaan was also the winner of the indoor arena fight and was the only V.I.P to claim the bounties asked over PIE member bodies.
I took one sentence that will be posted here for each guest to resume my feelings on their participation as a whole
"[ 2008.04.27 19:31:56 ] Istvaan Shogaatsu > I expect to be raided for my blood at least five times tonight"
Thanks Istvaan for the great time. Your contract was set by the Bloodveil Initiate Christy Walton. You have 7 days to claim it.

<Takes a deep bow> It was indeed a entertaining and eye opening experience for me. I will welcome the ability to attend other events, perhaps be able to even bring more than just my body combat skills.
My thanks to the Lady Neferis for allowing me to attend, though I still am confused as how such a humble trader and pilot as I was invited.
Never-the-less I was glad to witness such a grandious event and to be able to take part was even more a delight.
Honor, glory, and of course, blood to you and yours Lady Neferis.
<Takes a deep bow once again>
OOC: I was long, but it was fun. Being a pen-paper-dice GM for over 20years I know how much effort it takes to put together things like this, and so my hat is off to those that managed it.
If another event by the Bloodveil pops up, I will put my name in again.
I must also say I enjoyed the RPing and will probably engage more in it.
A further note. My OOC apologies to Rodj, my reaction at the time of the message was ill mannered and ill tempered but April has never been a good month for me, this year especially. In future I will try to respond to all such messages sent in the RP nature with the mind set of my character and his now (to an extent) established nature.
Once again, hats off to everyone who put it all together.
