As it is of tradition since the first Neferis Resort, announced here at this moment the starting of Phase IV - V.I.P Guests
As to continue with the phased style of the event, I'll be releasing the V.I.P Guest list with a certain number of guests each day, until all will be released on the 20th April.
As previously Announced, each of my V.I.P guests will receive a Blood raider Cruiser "Ashimmu" which will e delivered to them upon attendance at the Resort.
Each Ashimmu has an exclusive register number and identification name.
To the already selected guests, my welcome in advance. To the ones to come, eyes on the future!
With no more, here I give you the first Ten V.I.P Guests to be welcomed at the Gladiator games.
Your attendance needs to be confirmed until latest 20th April or your ship will be deleted its registration from our database.
At the above link, you'll also find a list of the Death Cage Gladiators at the botton of the comm relay. Feel free to place your bets and good wishes for your favorite gladiator.
If you believe you won't make the official list and still would like to receive an invitation, state your case here and each individual will be considered privately.

For sake of time saving, I'll announce here in advance the rules of engagement between Gladiators and Guests inside the Arena.
These rules are to be followed due to the nature of the event and for sake of clarity of communications between guests, gladiators, workers and reporters.
Rules:
1- Gladiators
Before starting the fight you are to salute the V.I.P Guests with the following sentence:
"We Who Are About to Die Salute You!"
This will let us know that you are ready and in position to start your fight, at the Space Death Cage or Indoor Arena.
2- Gladiators and Guests " The will of Death or Life "
There is no other outcome inside the gladiator games: The Sovereign, the victor and the guests will decide upon the fallen's fate.
If the spectators desires a fighter spared, they shall point their thumbs downward, [the signal for the victor to drop his guns at space or weapon at the arena]. At the same time they will shout "Mitte!" ancient Amarrian word found at the Apocrypha with meaning "Spare him!"
On the other hand, if the choice is death, they will press their thumbs toward their own chests (symbolizing a sword
through the heart inside the indoor Arena) and yell "lugula!" meaning "Cut his throat!".
If at space, "Ure!" meaning "Burn him up!".
3- Gladiators will have no rights to communicate with guests inside the main halls until their fights are concluded with exception of their battle cry and official words to be said previous to the fight.
4- Gladiators shall answer questions from our official ISD reporter and V.I.P guests if addressed directly.

Confirming attendance as Star Fraction Executor for the gladiatorial events and festivities. Good to see some old friends and associates on the guest list as well. Thank you for the invitation my love.
I have a question on the conduct of the starship fighting that will be of interest to the competitors as well. This business of "mercy" or "condemnation" for the defeated fighters - I'm assuming this happens once either opposing vessel is destroyed and applies to the fate of the loser's capsule?
That being the case, are there penalties/sureties in place to ensure that a losing competitor doesn't choose the coward's option and simply flee the arena rather than sharing the fate of his or her vessel if the spectators choose death as the reward for failure?

I'm sure the ISD and Lady Revan will do anything to ensure no conflict of interest will occur, afterall I believe the new ISD has done away with the ways of times past.
Your concern is touching, but unnecesary, dear Mr Reeth.
Besides, wouldn't your superiors become quite alarmed if one of their pilots started to fly Blood Raider ships? The Aegis Militia is known to be quite liberal on their stance towards other races, but I doubt dealing in contraband would be acceptable. |

My beloved, be welcomed to the Gladiator games. Regarding your question, it has been answered elsewhere ( events thread ) but to resume, gladiators will be scrambled to ensuer that the games will proceed as it should.
Although, knowing most of the gladiators and the reason why one compete in such games " for glory and honour " I doubt that any of them would like to be seen escaping from their fate and sealed eternally as a coward at the eyes of the entire cluster and official news.
I trust that gladiators will stand by the oath they had to sign.
