As far as I understand, Motsu is the caldari navy dreamland for L4 Q:20 combat missions. However, I've heard very little of other high quality divisions that also provide combat.
In an effort to avoid the "lag-fest that is Motsu," as I've heard it described, I found other corporations still in Caldari space that have high quality agents. Good, right..
I was wondering what were other's experience with divisions such as personnel with L4 Q:19? According to the player guide, personnel breaks down to: 28% kill, 66% courier, 6% trade.
What does a L4 high quality courier/trade mission consist of and would it be any different than any other courier/trade mission of low lvl/quality?
I'm not a hardcore mission runner, so the courier missions shouldn't bother me as long as I experience a fair amount of kill missions in the process. I'm currently trying to stay within 5-10 jumps of Jita, remain in the forge region, and avoid lag-fest systems while accessing high quality agents with a majority of kill missions. I'm having a hard time doing that and would like some input before I commit to an NPC corp only to find it a waste of time given the target L4 division/quality.
**Chosen mission location is not debatable for personal reasons.
Thanks for your time.

So you want to do the most popular types of missions, in the busiest area in the game, without lag or other people interfering... If anyone *had* somehow found a system with high-quality kill agents, near Jita but without lag, do you really think they'd be willing to tell everybody about them?
Use EVE Explorer and do your own damn research like everyone else does.

I'm sorry you're so angry right now. Refrain from unreasonably taking it out on my thread.
The purpose of my thread is to get feedback on high quality agents of other divisions than Security, Internal Security, and Command.
I've done the agent locater and have found what I need however lack the experience with the other high end divisions. Hoping to save time with particular NPC Corps given knowledge of other's exp with certain divisions.
Don't post if you're angry next time.

Use a Q10 in a 0.5 system, you'll get more isk and lp per mission. |

Not sure what L4 courier missions have you do exactly, because I haven't done any at that level, but I would expect perhaps having to carry an industrial full, if not several, to some other location, for an apppropriate reward.
I don't know if you have access to L4 agents in Motsu; if yes, you could try to do combat missions until you hit on their 5% chance to give you a courier mission, and see what that is.

I just started working for a lvl 4 distribution agent. I just got my 3rd mission not long ago and it is a courier one to carry 5000m3 2 jumps.
Before that it had given me 1 combat mission and 1 mining mission. For the mining mission I needed to mine alot of some worthless ore. I cant remember exactly how many m3 i needed to mine. It was 9k of green <something> and took a few trips in my covetor that holds just over 6000m3.
My agent is in lo sec. |

It'd recommend storage agents if you want to go for mostly couriers. But truth be told, I haven't tried them since the mining missions came in Trinity, so I'm not 100% sure they still only give out mostly couriers.
But... question... if you only want to avoid Motsu because of the lag but not much else... why not just pick other COMBAT agent ? There's plenty of decent-quality L4 Command, Security and Internal Security agents (and iirc Surveillance are also mostly "kill" missions) outside the lagfest areas, but still in highsec.

Anybody ever do these in 0.0? How do the LP and money rewards compare to combat missions? I am into exploration and would love to earn myself some Sisters implants. |

There are plenty of other combat agents that are relatively decent quality w/ L4. However, there aren't any pure combat agents I've found in the particular region I want to run missions in that have a Quality close to 20. That's why I'm asking about other divisions because there's plenty of those around the Q:20 range in high sec.
I want to mainly do kill missions but would take the trouble to do some courier/trade if it meant lag free access to a high quality L4 agent. I just wanted to make sure the high level courier/trade weren't ridiculous sizes or gave ridiculously low rewards.

Edited by: Sintho on 21/04/2008 03:23:39 I decided to do another mission for my distribution agent and this time I have to pick-up 25611.8m3 of tritanium and move it back to my agent. It looks like normal trit so I am not sure yet if I have to use the mission tritanium or if I could just buy it if it was available. Or maybe even just mine it. The reward is just over 2k LP. The earlier mission was about 800 LP.I have only lvl 3 social skills and none of the advanced connection skills. Its a quality 20 agent. |

I was able to buy the trit to do the mission since there are many sellers of trit where I am.(probably becuase they know about the mission and want to help people do it) I still have the trit I was suppose to pick up so I can sell that and get my money back also.
Insane Industrialists.
I sold the trit for 7.5 million, then turned around and used the trit I refined myself right in the same system as the agent. Join channel: "Eve University" or read here |

They are selling trit because they can, and a lot of their trit will probably get bought by manufacturers who don't want to/can't mine it, so they can build all the ships/modules/drones etc. on the local market. It just happens that you got that mission in that system.

have had good experience with lv 4 high quality personnel agents, get what feels like mostly combat missions, and the couriers were a few jumps and a few thousand m3. took a few mins to do in a bestower.
