Been Playing for about a month now. But how do I use the hardpoints? For example;I killed a raider, got a cap booster from him.I tried to install it on one off my hardpoints.I am told I need a launcher.I do search on the market and it finds no match.I am pretty sure this is a simple thing to figure out but I cant. Thanks in advance for any answers.
One more ?.Do need a second account to use my other names,or can I minimize and log in again and use my second one?

You cant install a cap booster to a hardpoint. You can only fit ship modifications to a hardpoint. (See Market, Ship Modification.)
It is: One Account is one client at a time. (= You have to log out and in again)

Look at that cap booster.
It is a Module and has a little symbol on it.
The symbol consists of one, two or a little triangle of dashes. It will also have a number such as 1 if it is packaged.
The Modules with the little triangle of numbers go in your high slots. The Modules with the two dashes go in your medium slots. The Modules with one dash go in your low slots.
Rigs (ship modifications) are what go in those little squares. Rigs are made from Salvage and are fairly expensive.
High, Medium and Low Modules are made from Minerals that are refined from Ore - or - they are dropped by NPC Rats.
As to playing multiple characters:
1) Each Account allows you to create 3 different characters. Only one of these can be played and/or trained at a time. 2) In order to play and/or train more than one character at a time you must have more than one account. 3) If you have created multiple characters on one account, it is my understanding that if you create a second account that you can have one or more of them transferred from the first account to the second account. I'm not sure if that would be worth doing (there's probably a charge) if you are new. You could just create a new character on your new account. 4) For some tasks, such as team mining between a miner and a hauler, EVE works fairly well running more than one account on a single computer. For other tasks such as mission running it works less well. For still other tasks such as PVP I wouldn't advise it. The better the computers you have, the greater the number of monitors or the more actual number of computers you have the better playing multiple characters works. You just may end up really busy trying to manage them all at the same time.

You guys missed it. Hes trying to fit a capacitor booster charge to one of his slots. The reason its telling him he needs a launcher is because capacitor booster charges require capacitor booster modules to put them in.
Just like guns and missiles launchers, capacitor booster charges (they look like batteries) need to be put into a module in order to work. Capacitor booster charges are like ammo for your capacitor, but you need to load them into a capacitor booster module. Do a search for "Capacitor Booster" or look under the "Engineering Equipment" sub-section inside the "Ship Equipment" section on the market menu.
You can fit more smaller charges in a capacitor booster than you would bigger charges. Capacitor boosters have a rather long reload time and you have to keep extra charges in your cargo hold just like ammo. Bigger capacitor booster modules (micro, small, medium, large) can hold more booster charges, but what you can fit on your ship depends on how much powergrid and CPU your ship has. --- My cat Putter approves of this post. For future reference ... if you do want to use hardpoints for increasing your cap recharge rate, you need the Jury Rigging skill, for example.
