Umm, that's metal? That sounds nothing like any metal i've ever listened to, it is just punk. |

The following are punk, which is a little less loud and fast.
Sex Pistols The Clash The Zips
EARACHE Records deams it proper to label them as thrash/crossover which in my book falls under the lable of heavymetal and quite honestly I would lable punk under the umbrella term of heavymetal also.
I know these guys personaly and they would laugh at the thought that someone called them punk. Not that they would think it was an insult, they would just totally disagree.

LMAO!!! I will try and find a better version of the video. But this show was shot by the video guys at EARACHE and they pushed for some extra gore. This is probably one of the reasons the Troma Productions wanted to do The Wastes first "big production video"
Hopefully all are aware of Troma and Loyd Kaufman.
Here is another local favorite Battlemaster at one of RVA's infamous house shows. The audio sucks in all of their posted videos, but this one you can hear some of it.
You would not see this at a punk show, at least non that I have been to. LMAO!!!!

Black Metal a silly pantomime?
You better watch those ignorant words you wantonly throw around about things you clearly don't understand... unless your aim in life is to end up impaled on the Nokturnal Bacon Throne, that is.

Edited by: Batwigg on 30/04/2008 16:42:37 Four bands from my beautiful hometown of Reykjavfk, Iceland.
Severed Crotch - A brutal Death Metal band. Goddamn awesome.
Momentum - Another Death Metal band. Also goddamn awesome.
S=lstafir - Black Metal. Those guys have been signed with Spikefarms. Pretty cool.
And of course I have to pimp my own band - Nightriders - Melodic Power Metal. We're sort of in between singers at the moment, and all we have up is a ****ty home recorded demo. I play the bass.

And I love both Municipal Waste and Bad Brains, I'm happy I've seen them both a few times last year, they don't really fit into this topic, but who cares about exact genre names anyway. -- My blog
