Hi
I just read in the guide, that I have to update my Clone. When I get pod-killed, my clone must have at least 5% more skillpoints than I have atm to not lose any points, right? But do I have to update my clone whenever I finish a skill, leave station etc. or is it enough just to have a clone capable of holding all my skill points + 5%?

You only need to have a clone that can hold all of your current skill points. You don't need to upgrade after each skill you train finishes.

It seems to me that the character sheet doesn't actually show how much skillpoints you have trained in total. It shows how much skill points your trained skill levels amount to. This is why it is adviced, that your clone should hold more skillpoints than the total in your character sheet. It isn't a big deal, if you don't leave a lot of skills partially trained.

1- Go to station that has medical facilities. Caldari Navy for one, and in my experiences it seems that most corporations that offer comabt missions have them.
2- Check the number of Skill Points you currently have
3- Click the med service button in station.
4- It will give you the option to upgrade clone. Press the tab.
5- Check how many skill points you current clone has. If you current SP total is less then the current clone save level then you are fine. If your SP total is higher then the clone can handle you want to purchase a clone that can cover your current SP total. I usually stay two levels above my current SP total so as to limit my capability to screw up.
6- If you get pod killed with more skill ponts then your current clone can save then you will loos I believe 5% of the total skill points from the higest level skill you have trained.

It shows everything but what's currently in training. To see what your current total is, simply pause your skill training and it will update with the new total. Keeping it updated as you train in real time would be quite a resource hog, methinks.

You are correct. It gets updated when you change a skill. I jumped to conclusions when training a long skill and my skill total didn't change until the skill finished.
