Yes, it's true. I have just re-activated my EVE account, I'm a huge newb still. My character has about 1.8mil SP, but I fear I failed horribly when creating him.
My stats are: Intelligence 9 Perception 13 Charisma 6 Willpower 11 Memory 6
Before you ask.. No, I don't know what I was thinking. I'd really prefer to not re-make, but I will if it's really going to hurt me in the long run. I'm aiming for a combat heavy character.. Any advice?
Oh the pain...

What learning skills do you have trained?
Honestly, as long as you can get the Intelligence and Memory up to a semi-decent level (at least 20 with implants added in at some point) then you'll be fine. I'm almost completely combat orientated and my Perception and Willpower is really quite pathetic, but I have a massive amount of Intelligence. That's not really the best combination for a combat character, and it has shown (well, along with forgetting to train skills for large stretches of time) in that I have far less SP that I otherwise might. However, I still get on absolutely fine.
If you want to keep your character, then you may as well keep it. Your attributes aren't as balanced as they could be, but in the long run (which is what counts in EVE) you'll have little problem unless you suddenly decide to switch all your training to Intelligence/Memory based skills.
Although if you intend to focus on drones you may find the low Memory a bit painful.

Tells us a bit more about the character : -Race -Bloodline -Ancestry -Base stats (take the final stat - level of related learning skills you know) -level in the 'learning' skill
Then, we can tell you if you have some horrible 3 in momory or if your basic memory is 6 which is not an issue.
Not having anything under 6 is fine for a character. Having strong perception is very good, and you seem to have it. Your itelligence may be good and might compompensate for the low memory if your character has no learning skills of intelligence and memory.
Low memory will penalize you in drones, but high perception will fix it as it's a mem/per skill group. Low memory would penalize you for the tanking and such skills, but if you have 9 as a basic intelligence, it balances it totally and you're as good in that as us all.
So, with your basic attributes, we can give you better advice. |

You're fine, really. The only real way to gimp yourself is getting a very high Charisma; yours is low enough not to be a problem.
If you know exactly what you're gonna train in the long term, then you may be able to get slightly better atrributes, but you'll lose whatever SP you've invested in this character. To get any real benefit from a recreated character will literally take years. |

He is.. Minmatar(Sebiestor), Rebels.. I can't for the life of me remember the bonus.
Forgot to mention, I've barely touched learning so far..
Iron Will - 4 Learning - 2 Spatial Awareness - 2
I appreciate the responses, I'm pretty set on keeping him, even if it will be more difficult.. But the insane part of me has to ask all kinds of questions..
Akita, it is a great thread, truly.. But it makes me question my own sanity, just a little.. |

That means you're 11 per, 9 int, 7 wil, 6 mem, 6 cha base. Heck, it's actually pretty damned good, especially for a combat-oriented character. I don't see any reason to reroll... it's just fine the way it is.

Since you're at 1.8 mil SP total, I guess it would be time now for some of your learning skills Memory and Intelligence should be your primary focus for now, get those two to L3 basic first, then learning itself to L3 too.
Get at least L3 in all six rank 1 learnings, and consider buying the advanced rank 3 versions (4.5 mil each) for those you have L4 in the basic (rank 1) skill... when you do, train that rank 3 one you just bought to L2 ASAP, L3 whenever you can afterwards.
And I guess it would also be a good idea to get Science 3, then Cybernetics 1, and plug in whatever implants you can afford (a set of +1 should be dirt cheap, no excuse not to get at least those... preferably +3 implants, but for the time being they might be a tad too expensive for you).
