Ok the following questions will help me pick who me and a group of my friends vote for.
Main question: If you could change just one thing about eve, good or bad, what will it be.
Space: If you could add say 5 regions to the game, what will the regions be, and where. IE 0.0, or a all lowsec space or more empire.
Hi sec ganking: If you where put in change of this issue what will you do, leave it alone, (if so why), or fix it, (if so how).
Market: If a GM came to you to ask you a simple question, "Lets remove 100% of all NPC sold goods from the market and make it a 100% player sold market, (other than blueprints)". What will your answer be, "lets do it" (why), or "lets leave it" (why).
Amarr: What will your fix be to the amarr issue ATM, right now CCP thinks "lets nuff the other 3 races to make them stronger" type deal, I what to see what you have planed for amarr if you where put in change to fix it.
Cap ships: Main dealing with super caps, atm montherships and titans in my eyes do not play a big play in turning the tide of a battle, other than one side losing a 20b or a 100b ship. (after fittings).. Question is, if you could change the roles of the two types of caps what roles will you give them, (please do not answer "I will not change there roles").
API: What changes do you want to see added to the API tools, and why? In other words what do you think needs to be added? I'll love to be able to read my eve-mail out of game through the API.. What do you want to see..
Other issues: Something new added to the game, I mean new, if you could add one new things, content, ship, something new that hasn't been seem before, or talked about, what will it be. I'm talking about something that no other MMORPG has, something that makes eve stand apart.
Again, I'm asking some of the questions here for my self and a group of people, just easier to have one spokes person to ask the questions then have 20 different post about the same issues.

Well, space itself isn't bad. We badly need more space, at least in regards to the the too low supply of moon minerals(Promethium & dysprosium). But i would probably be mini-0.0 regions, where people can make more of a difference. That would be cool. Maybe even somewhere, where corporations could settle single systems! Initially, I'd have to say that I'd create a zero-space, low-sec, and high-sec region; if for no other reason then to better understand the creation differences between them - as well as having the opportunity to dabble in a bit of everything. Following that my remaining two regions would fall within the "category" of space where I was most intrigued by what I'd learned with my earlier three regions.

I'd leave it. For the most part I don't have any immediate reasons to believe that there is an inherent imbalance within EVE for players to take advantage of targets of opportunity in Empire space (all's fair in love and war).

I'd answer "let's try it." I love the economy of EVE and find it to be one of EVE's greatest strengths. However, I'm not an economist, and realizing such would make good use of Dr. Eyj=lfur "Eyjo" Gu=mundsson's advice. With the recent change in shuttle creation and Tritanium prices I'm very curious to see how that impacts the game.

Players will commonly turn to one race or another for existing or perceived advantages. I'm not certain I've seen enough data to know that the Amarr are really that "broken." However, should it become obvious that there is a advantage of significant impact, to the preclusion of all other races, then something should be done. I'm more of a fan of raising things into balance rather than nerfing things down to the level of the others.

I see these super ships in more of a leadership and defensive capability than in a "kill everything" capability. Certainly this isn't to say that they wouldn't have awesome firepower, just that their ability to provide information, logistical support, remote defensive capabilities, and of course offer a significant moral boost. I like the "super caps" to play more of a strategic role in battle.

Honestly, I'm not too sure I've put a great deal of thought into this. Let me get back to you on that.

Perhaps age. As you play your character I feel it might be interesting if they were to actually age. This, of course, may be irrelevant once your close awakens, but showing a little gray at your temples, crows feet, and the like might give everyone the immediate impression that you're characters been around the block a few times (and without being podded). It's a little thing, and with no real impact on the game, but I haven't seen it really pop up in any other MMO's (and it may have significance in a game such as EVE).

Tradable kill rights and rewards in the form of Concord LP and item shop for killing those criminals so that players can go bountyhunting and are rewarded for vigilante work.

I'd use the 5 regions to make more bridges between empire, lowsec and 0.0 and the 0.0 regions in general to fix those bottleneck systems. Although the 0.0 NPC factions (Mordus, Intaki, Pirate Factions, etc with the exception of ORE) could use some more space as well to make them more interesting to mission runners and players that want them for roleplaying purposes.

Give them their missing exploration frigate first. I'd aim for a truly dynamic world where players have even more impact, especially on the NPC factions. NPC factions would try to accomplish their own objectives and players interfere with them. Missions would adjust based on events in the game world (instead of these stupid static missions we currently have). Say that Serpentis actually tries to set up a base in Gallente deadspace, then it has a chance to show up during missions and explorations, and if it has not been dealt with by players for a certain amount of time, it would grow and possibly spread to adjacent systems.
This way overcrowded systems will have less interesting missions, while the agents in a remote system are desperate for help and will offer more, and the mission has better loot too. |

i would remove macros, isk sellers , character traders - i am well aware though that i have little powers to change it, but its true - i woudl if i could.

I would evaulate where it gets too crowded. I am guessing that it will be a share between empire and 0.0 maybe 2/3 0.0 1/3 empire - low sec, is at least according to my limited experience pretty empty, so i think an expansion there is least needed. correct me if i err

specify please. direct attacks are not possible in hi sec. (tanking sentries in 1.0 and ganking people at the gate is either impossible nowadays, or would be seen as exploit)
if you mean can trapping - i would put some effort into educating the newcomer so he doesnt fall for the traps, but i would also be realising that this trapping can not easily be removed w/o a tradeoff
empire wars; and the resulting "ganking" is solid part of the game. wont change that. eve is supposed to be a tough world. and its within the social responsibilities of the co-players to protect someone from it, or not.
for a CEO this means, dont war dec if your corpmates are not ready.

this is not a GMs job, and the decision about such things are not CSMs job. But if i am asked about my opinion, i would answer that i would never suggest a radikal move in any of the proposed directions.
today we have a mix of player and npc sold goods - i know ccp has been doing slight alterations here and then, and even those slight alterations have created occasional mass hysterias.
the ones joy is the others pain - the golden way is somewhere in between.
having said that, i blieve in the great experiment - i would like to see a functioning market as much player based and natural economy driven as possible, as that adds to realism.
however, chances are this experiment would fail if not introduced slow and gentle...
changes are hard to take back (there is always screaming of a part of the players) ,hence you better think hard before implementing them.

Having been in at least two wars where a titan took part i can tell you that they do have their role and purpouse. mainly psychologically. they die hard, but if they die the pilot (if he not bought the ISK on ebay) is usually close to hurting himself badly. Some features are unfortunately not always used. That i would change.

forum was limiting my text - this is part two on the missing topic of APIs
- i would push ccp to make their promises true. two years ago they said a cclient for windows mobile PDA is in the works.
- evemail perhaps converted to regular IMAP, so it can be polled and queried from any imap comptible client would be a huge step forward. market frontends via browser would be a nifty thing to have.
but respect where respect is due, ccp is already on the right way - and i assume some of the things i dream of will become reality in one form or the other.

A little more tolerance for different playstyles. I know this is utopic, but there are way too many people that cannot (or do not want to) comprehend that people can have fun playing the game in a different way than they do and thus make themselves the prime authority on what is fun and what is not. And this results in the poisoned athmosphere we see on these forums a lot.

While I do not believe that we currently need more regions, but instead would be better served with useful content in all the empty systems, if 5 regions were added I would say add 5 more NPC home regions in 0.0, so we get more 'rich' space.

Let's leave it. A 100% player driven economy will probably not very well. Heck even the shuttle stunt they pulled annoyed me, seeing how I now have to use pod or n00bship to travel when I am at the butt end of the world where no player sells shuttles. Imho they should have just raised the price of NPC shuttles to 100K or something if the trit price limit was really such a bad thing.

The only real Amarr issue tbh is the imagination of some vocal people on these forums. Ok, and their crappy T1 cruisers and 2nd tier med lasers. To address these, I would turn the Maller into a T1 missile boat in order to make it a proper base ship for the Sacrilege. Then beef up the Omen so it is on par with Vexor, Stabber and Caracal. And adjust the focused laser stats so they are on par with 220s/Heavy Ions/200mm rails.

Seeing how I know that I will never fly one of these, I don't really have any input towards this issue.

The motherships are intended for fleet support, like a capital size logistic cruiser. So they should be focused on remote support and as a moving POS/Station (though with the limited space of cargo/hanger). The Titans (aka the E-Peen enlarger) should play a larger role than it is currently doing, since the cost of them pushes them back and not risking them.

The importance of low sec and making it more accesible to all EVE players! ( not making it like high sec but surely much more intresting and challenging!

Actually this is a good question as i still hope we will get some more space in the future! Maybe an intresting part would be some kind of Interstellar Gate which will lead to a second universe where is also High, low sec and of course also 0.0 space! Of course this universe should be accesible from all sec areas like low sec to low sec and high sec to high sec and 0.0 so 0.0!
But if u ask for just telling which 5 areas i would chose i would say 2 high secs, 2 low secs and 1 0.0!

I would do it! Why? Well EVE and the EVE market is supposed to be player orientated! This makes the whole game more real! Sure the skills and BPO's are still a NPC thing as they are sold by the school corps and such! But still i think EVE needs some ISK sink holes to stop the inflation!

This is a though question! Sure nerfing the others might make Amarr stronger but if that's the perfect idea? Hmm hard to say. Maybe give them some things the other races don't have! Don't ask me right now what as this needs some time of hardcore thinking as changing a race is a big thing!

Well Titans surely are too weak regariding their costs! The benefits they have are too few! The Leviathan for example gives 7,5% bonus to shield recharge rate for the fleet. And that's kinda it.....sure u can fit more Warfare modules per lvl but that's not enough! They should have some more benefits for the whole fleet as they are the biggest and should also be the badest! Or at least give the fleet some more benefits! Maybe increasing the ROF on fleet ships might be an idea! An intresting thing to add to fleet battles would be something like moral! And give the titan and thr mothership a moral bonus for the fleet! MS a small bonus and titans a huge bonus! Moral could affect chance to hit/ critical strike chance and such!

EVE-mail through API is a cool idea! Also maybe beeing able to change skills would be a cool thing! (Not sure if this is possible) Maybe if ur CEO of a corp getting via API info if ur corp gets war dec or ur POS-es get attacked! So u can announce the corp/ alliance members!

As i mentioned before maybe the introducing of several universes which can be accesed by different gates would be a cool idea! I mean make it larger and maybe some kind of infinite! Maybe a second universe that is infinite and evolves as players discover it! Sure this needs some server power but make it some kind of another server! In this other universe should be things maybe that can't be found here in New Eden! there are endless ideas what u can add to such an idea

I would fix people, so that (a) CCP would be less afraid to lay the proverbial smack down where necessary, and (b) so that the players wouldn't give them the need to all the time.

Well, I see existing low-sec space as largely underpopulated without the need to add more. As for 0.0, increased capital logistics have made it easier for one side to project themselves over a greater area of space than they can reliably manage long term, but I think that's more an issue of logistics being too easy than 0.0 space being too small. That just leaves high-sec, I guess.

Certainly no wholesale changes; perhaps a revision of how easy it is to recover sec status for career suicide gankers, and adjusting insurance so that no payouts are made only for those who succeed in killing their target and/or removing the top levels of insurance for those with lower sec status. But if I had to decide between keeping the profession as is and nerfing it entirely, I would keep it as is.

Let's do it, on the condition that mining be made less of a chore in return. Perhaps civilian modules could also be made an exception by being made unrefinable - the newbies are the ones who can least afford to be gouged.

Some Amarr ships were already improved in the so-called boost patch recently so this is less of an issue than before, although I'm not sure they went about it the right way on the resistances/tanking side of things. I'd like to see more base cap/recharge for Amarr ships for starters, and nano-PvP - as employed mainly by the other races - perhaps needs looking at somehow as well.

I think the best idea I've seen for supercaps to date (and perhaps others as well) is for them to be persistent in space when the pilot is logged off. That would limit their owners to being only the most dedicated pilots, rather than being used as casual playthings to crush roaming 10-man gangs, stories of which I'm already beginning to hear about.
As for the ships themselves, I would keep the titan DD as it is. The day the DD is removed is the day numbers become the final answer to all combat situations, and I can't say that makes for an especially imaginative (or lagfree) Eve environment. Motherships need to be something more than expensive carriers too, but I don't have any specific suggestions on that at this stage.

They would be NPC 0.0 space between all the major empire regions. Or at least low-sec.

Leave it alone, it is not in need of a fix and is quite easy to avoid currently.

I would leave it alone. Its a good way to regulate isk faucets and sinks and also allows for growth in the economy as players out train inefficient methods of production.

Very little needs to be done other than fixing the punisher, maller, and prophecy[tech 1 khanid and/or split weapon options via the sansha model?]. At the moment, the rest of Amarr is very strong. Though i disagreed with the resistance changes i wouldn't want to be tinkering much.

Motherships and Titans are a HUGE advantage to have on your side of the battle. But i would move titans to be a "mobile station" type thing and increase the utility of the motherships clone bay.
