Hey guys.
It is my intention, if i got elected, to do a weekly podcast for the CSM. The idea would be to cover following topics:
1) What has happened the last week, in the CSM?(Any progress, interesting discussions, news in general)
2) Discussion with the community
The second point is why I'm posting now, rather than waiting till I eventually get elected. I want feedback!
The idea was to bring on 3 guests every week, onto the show. These are non-famous people, who just enjoys playing eve.
The top 3 topics of any certain week, will then be discussed by these 3 guests.
These 3 guests will consist of 1 Carebear, 1 PvP'er and one general person.
I think this, now that CCP isn't bringing us any tools for interacting with the community, is a step in the right direction, when it comes to interacting in a positive way with the community. The CSM and the community needs to talk together, discuss and stay tight, so that the CSM isn't this VIP club.
What do you guys/girls think? This is for you guys, so let the feedback and ideas flow, please! |

I like this idea - seems a good way to get 'instant' feedback from the community.
Ideally its something that could / should be supported by CCP in an 'official' capacity (perhaps with a CCP Dev on the panel??) or hosted by a different CSM member for each pod cast. i.e its a CSM PODCAST as opposed to a LaVista Podcast.
Weekly - seems too frequent, perhaps fortnightly.
An excellent idea though.

That, Sir, is a good amount of self confidence. I like optimists. 
As for the question: isn't weekly coverage a little too "in-depth"? Will there be really weekly discussions/progess on the CSM? Everyone (of the represantatives) has a real and evelife too. So i'd assume time will be limited.
tbh although i am interested in the progress i am not sure such a lot of coverage wouldn't get boring really fast which would be detrimental to the matter at hand.
anyway i'll be listening to the show and i can't really say its not a good idea unless i've done that. so gl |

Absolutely a good idea. It may not be a bad idea to also transcribe notes on it- perhaps on a limited level, a synopsis of the proceedings after it is done. Not all people will be able to get or may not want a podcast, but an additional text version would be good to go along with it. So yes if I end up serving with you, I volunteer to put it together. |

Yeah i agree. Maybe weekly is too much.
Every 2 week or once a month would maybe work better.
I have plenty time for editing and recording myself. So i just went with 1 week as standard. But i see what you guys mean. |

I think it sounds like an excellent idea.
Without this, I fear that CMS's might not report things as much as we'd like them to - they're here for all of us, we voted for them, we need to know what the hell they are doing :) |

Definately in favor of this! Would go well with the whole Take Care program I've been setting up, to ensure constant communication - and accountability - between CSMs and players. |

Great idea, I'm all for transparency and openness! It would be a good way to communicate CSM decisions and explanations on topics to the players.
