The one thing that gets me about the New series (New series 1 to 4) is that they keep saying hes the last of the Time Lords. There was a brief reference to his grandaughter in 1 episode and as he didnt seem too upset talking about her, I must presume she is still alive.
Maybe Susan will make an appearance one day and all will be explained. |

You missed "and she's hot!" off the end there
I did notice the appearance of Rose again though when Donna was alone in the TARDIS.
Still speculating on how Rose will come back in the series (if she even does make a full re-appearance |

I thought it was more like a daughter he never knew he had. Minor indiscretion a few centuries ago perhaps?
As for Susan, I'm pretty sure she's dead or current status unknown. The Doctor's behaviour makes no sense otherwise. |

According to the Dr Who Wiki, Susan hid on earth as a human (presumably in much the same way The Master did).
This would mean The Doctor would still feel that he is the "Last Timelord" (excluding the Master of course) because she would be undetectable to him as was The Master. |

Wanna' bet she's a "daughter" in the sense that half the DNA she has is the Doctor's ?

His hand in a jar was bubbling at the end of the last episode, perhaps something to do with that? |

RTD said that the hand jar bubbles when anything time lordy occurs. |

talk about spoiler! i'm guessing this aired in EU? i think i heard something about us americans being a season behind.
if my memory serves me correctly, dr who actually had children. though only 2 grandchildren were ever mentioned in the old series? never heard of his actual kids. the grand kids were not time lords but galefreyens (spellin?) none the less.
i think its even been suggested that dr who may have some human dna... all of this was long long ago and hard to remember so basically speculation. story line used to say that galefreyens were never actually born and didn't reproduce in our sense of the term, so for dr who to do so something makes him a bit different. |

It aired in the UK, US Sci Fi is about 2-3weeks behind us.
Yes, apparently (According to the Dr. Who movie, which nobody takes as serious!) the Doctor is half human, half Gallafrayan. Hes talked about grandchildren but never anything else. |

Heres the youtube trailer of next weeks episode!
His granddaughter is called Susan, usually referred to by her assumed name of Susan Foreman. She was played by Carole Ann Ford in the show.
The movie human-bit is entirely explain-awayable because all claims of human ancestry were made within a short time of his regeneration during which time gallifreyans are always prone to delusions. The one clue from within the tardis is therefore just a reflection of this through the empathic link.

why do people keep saying granddaughter as in the granddaughter in the first series of 1963? videoclearly has the doctor saying " she's my daughter" not granddaughter.
That said if this girl in next weeks episode dies we will all of a sudden lose all memory of the granddaughter (Susan) from the 1960s episodes |
