I know this have been discussed over and over again but it seems that a solution to the lag is not even close.
well what i have in mind is just two major changes.
* Remove the wonderland of NAPS in this game. This will prevent uber blobs that servers CAN'T handle.
* Remove the pos warfare and change the game play to be even MORE pvp orientated and creating more war engagements instead of w8ing for a pos to get into reinforce mode.
Once the servers can do that then it can be re implement again.
Todays lag problems is not fun for any side of any conflict is just a big JOKE to be honest.
Anyway congrats to rzr/mm and co for a gf and we look for more action :)

I have better solution.
1. Remove delays from client, so it will be able to perfectly handle that small amount of 200-300 ships on grid. (It is NOWHERE near the amount of "uber blob", many other games that even older than EVE can handle that amount of active players in one location perfectly) 2. Removing NAPs? Huge... People don't need a tool to make naps, it would be removing all standings mechanics, only keeping the alliance and corp color tickers so you don't shoot them...
POS warfare? propose something good instead of just saying it's crap. I have no idea myself, so I'm not creating 'change this' threads with no ideas to fix behind. -- Pocket drone carriers (tm) enthousiast !

Split the servers???
1 server for assets and market transactions 2-4 servers for different groups of regions (and you get transferred to the other server as you jump into a different region)
For blobs, maybe have a server (or node) that can handle massive battles on the one grid (surrounding grids). Larger gangs of 50+ players could have a server node (or portion of a node) assigned to them.
