I am dling stuff onto my mp3 play which can play videos, and I want some good anime MOVIES, and tv shows. I have a full list of series I need to watch, I just need some really good titles, epic sci fi stuff is my favorite IE: Akira, Ghost in the shell, Galaxy Express 999 (My first anime i ever watched) So anyone have any ideas for movies? |

not movies, but you did say TV series too ;P
Full Metal Alchemist, pretty good, about 50 episodes (25 mins per episode)
Cowboy Bebop, get it if you havent seen it
.... wait, i'm assuming you have seen neon genesis evangelion?
also... Elfen Lied is pretty good, if a (little  ) gorey

oh, and if you want to make the inevitable weeaboo leap to manga, Bleach is pretty good (tv series was good, but when it ran out of manga is started going far too much into naff filler episodes, just like naruto did, but still, manga was pretty nice) |

Anything made by Studio Ghibli.
Spirited Away for instance is prolly one of the greatest films (anime or not) ever made.

Spirited Away was a nice movie, but it was hardly the greatest MOVIE EVAR OMFG!!!111 There are far better movies (relatively speaking). |

Perhaps, but it ranks in my all-time top ten. Everything about it is so beautiful and atmospheric. |

i would suggest this. it says its 3 episodes but its really just 1 movie broken into 3 parts.

Actually there are plenty of anime movies and series out there that are tailored towards more mature viewers. Do some research before you trash a genre. |

OH CRAP, i ****ed off the anime gang a game is a game , anime is.... a .... chilish cartoon. Go around saying I love anime to a bunch of real men and I bet that you would get f'ed up or just shunned, go around saying that I play a game on the internet to a bunch of dudes and they wouldnt care, everyone plays video games.

I am going to add a few unmentioned if you can manage to find them
Venus Wars is an old one but really a kick ass story.
Iria is another fine one (mini series)
Robotech of course.
Green Legend Ran if you are looking for something a tad obscure and off the beaten path.
