Question says it all. Bloody long list of candidates and it really is a waste of time to go through all of their campaigns - i tried to go through Jade Constantine and decided that i might as well read a book.
A short view in the candidates shows alliance members, or industrials, or ppl that forum wh*re or have too much money - lots of goons and even a BoB alt. Ppl that thrive in the current situation of the EVE-O game or just don't have much clue in the aspects of EVE that i am interested in.
Personally i don't think Goons should be elected because their alliance has tried time and time again to destroy the game, they try to get into CSM now more of a way to annoy the hell out of other ppl . Rich BoB alts are something that i will never vote for - I still have 50 shares from their ISS IPO and I feel that they betrayed their investers.
I want a candidate with experience as a pirate/high-sec wardeccer/scammer/pvp-er, in short someone who has experience in all of the low-sec/high-sec PVP aspects of EVE, and who doesn't want to get the job for the e-peen.
So, who do I vote for with my 9000 accounts ?
PS: For the ones that understand it 'eu pentru cine votez ? hac !' . :)

While the 9000 accounts part and the PS might be in joke-style, the base question is valid, and I would really want to know who do I vote for ?

Vote for the person who you think is most dedicated.
Personally i have flown low-sec(veto) and high-sec(privateers) wars, as well as plenty of combat in 0.0. So i fit your requirements.
And I'm really not as rich as some people want to out me as being. I run a bond, it doesn't make THAT much money.
And I personally don't really fancy bob nor goons.

Let me start off by saying "Likely not me" Not because I don't think I could represent you (because I am sure that I could) but your criteria stated a requirement of experience which I simply don't have. I have experience with PVP, but not as a pirate, or some of the other specific experience you listed.
Now as for who you SHOULD vote for, since OZ has raised his hand, I'm assuming he has the requisite experience. And honestly if I had to choose a "second best" to myself, I personally think OZ would have my vote (if I was not running, I would vote for him). So I'll throw a second nomination to OZ for the "Who you should vote for" part lol.

I did, CCP Wrangler did a very bad job.
I don't care what their cool slogan is, a short resume of what they want and what they stand for would have been better.

Your short resume is anything but short. When i mean short i mean 3 lines that sums up what that campaign is all about. I don't want to read Leandro's short 12000 character resume, or this.
There are rougly 30 candidates, i don't want to spend the next 10hs comparing campaigns, check sites and watch them kissing babies.
I want to know, who of them has experience in what I'm looking for, who of them plan to improve that, and all of this could be put in 3 lines by each, if that thread had been done right. If that thread had been done right, i wouldn't have oppened this question thread, because i would of had my answer, quick and fast and easy. But that thread did fail to deliver - for me, so i am asking the ppl that have followed these campaigns for some help, not candidate irony coupled with lack of reading comprehension of the thread.
PS: If you are wondering why i'm a bit ironic, please read the post above you zolkhan. I've stated that i have checked the thread.

ive seen your farmer thread and come to the conclusion youre a disturbance in the time/space continuum :)
Since we all fail to meet your critearia - our one liner is too short, the statement is too long - i understand that youre in sincere trouble.
Perhaps you should have submitted your criteria sooner, now the voting has already started...

I'll be honest. If these are your requirements for a CSM candidate, don't vote for me. I've never done those things, except for a little PvP.
I want your vote, but I'm not gonna lie to you to get it. I hope you find somebody better out there to vote on, and good luck in Eve.

The farmer thread was an obvious joke, but one with some deeper meaning to it. They are powerfull in EVE because their number of accounts, they do pay CCP for them in the end, and if they were united they could elect someone in CSM easy.
This thread is because i have no clue who to vote for. I'm a casual player and I shouldn't have to read for 10hs who to vote for in a MMO. A short resume would have put that down to 1h or so, which is enough in my opinion. Overall, i think this vote whill show how that thread was badly made.
As for your post, you still don't understand, and from a candidate I do not want that. I have stated numerous times i have read the thread made by Wrangler, you ignored that, I have stated what i want, you ignored that, I have asked if anyone knows a candidate that would fit my requirements, and you have started to troll.
I find you sir as being ... unstable. You do not have the composure needed by a good candidate and I am saying this with the most serious of tone. Feel free to stop posting in this thread now.

I read that page of yours, while i disagree with some of the ideeas, many other are nice. I'll probably vote for you.
And zoolkhan, if you are wondering why i said it so fast, it's because his thread is small, has an obvious link and all that he stands for in a few lines, making it fast to read, understand and agree/disagree. You could learn a lot from him.

As with all politics gaining a strong sense of who a candidate truly is can be an ongoing and upward battle. There's often a lot of smoke and mirrors that go on in campaigning, and it's common for voters to have to do a lot of leg-work on their own.
The last thing you want to do is vote for someone and later find out they've flip-flopped on an issue that you'd known they had the opposite stance earlier.
Had I been running the CSM call for candidates I would have had started a thread in the General area of the forum to find the top ten issues on players minds. From there form a questionnaire for all the CSM candidates to fill out. Forced the CSM candidates to answer multiple choice (For, Against, Undecided, or Abstain) then allow them to expand on their answer and go into their text book political grandstanding. At least, with this you'd have a strong apples to apples comparison for all the candidates - and with short answers.
Ms. Manoro, I wish you the best of luck, and hope that you find the candidate who will best represent your views (or at least most of them). If all fails, there is the abstention or "none of the above" statement with your vote.

Edited by: Setana Manoro on 05/05/2008 18:50:59 I voted for Bunyip in the end, and a friend voted for Omber.
I'll say this for the last time, so the ppl that have read this thread understand why I started it.
I don't play that much actively, and the last thing i want is for me to spend 10hs i could otherwise spend playing the game, to browse the options. That thread was made badly, and if a short resume had been included, i could have finished my search in just 1h, which is ok with me.
If CCP can take constructive criticism, they will improve upon it, if not ... they will just pretend no problems existed - considering past experience they will probably take option 2.
As for my requirements. I don't like how the game is progressing, more and more is done for the 0.0 alliances, to make them easier to defend their territory, everybody has JB's, and can blob like crazy, not much left for small gang warfare, unless you go for nano's and gank npc-ers, which is not that much entertaining, that is why i was against candidates that are in 0.0 alliances. They are used to this, they live this, they play the game like this. Piracy needs a bit of a boost, and i don't mean gate-camping with HICS. The war-decc system is so full of holes for exploiting that it's a joke, and i think what SHC did with red vs blue is more fun than what CCP hopes factional warfare to be.
I didn't want a candidate that is fanatic about one aspect of the game, someone with only experience in industry, but one that understands all of the aspects of the game, no matter what he specializes in - i think i would have voted for Dark Shikari if he were more active.
In the end, i can't help but smile at the irony of it all. I started a thread because i didn't want to go through all the candidates and ended up spending way too much time on it. And yes, the thread abput macro-ers is a joke but also some sort of alarm, if they banded together they could have easily voted for one of ther own on CSM.

Actually, I was going to vote for LaVista Vista, but I figured he's a shoe-in, so I'll vote for her - a candidate who I partially agree with and is making an effort with this thing. Not only that, but I don't want the council to be a total sausage fest.
