I fail to see the reaons why it takes 3 minutes for every silo to be onlined and why only one module at ta time can be onlined!? In my eyes that is a pure waste of my EVE playing time without any relevance to any other player
Can anyone explain me what this 3 minute timeout is good for (except to waste my time)?
Therefore here my proposal: Significantly reduce (or even completly remove) the onlining time for silos (not for waepons etc, this has a valid reason!).
Alternative: Allow medium POSes to online 2 modules at a time and large POSes to online 4 modules at a time according to their relative CPU amount (this might also be restricted to silos or exclude weapons...)
Another alternative would be to make the onlining time relative to a skill... for example "Anchoring". Reduce the onlining time by 20% for each level.

I haven't gotten into POS stuff yet. So I'm not too sure one way or another.
But I could definately see Anchoring having more uses. So far Level I lets you use almost anything. Level II and III are necessary for a select few items. But there's no reason to train to V as I can tell. The skill itself has no use, other than to permit using anything available after 10 minutes of training.
So I'm all for making levels of Anchoring have some other effect. Reduce anchor time, allow for closer proximity of Cans, allow for more activations at once, something. |

Simpler solution would be to allow silos to be filled/emptied while online. I doubt its the problem that silos take time to online when you first put up the POS. The problem is that every time you put in/remove moon minerals you need to offline the damn things.

actually Anchoring has one purpose (since one of the last patches...): lvl V is prequisite for the POS Defense skill... which is in my opinion a far too hard prequisite! But besides that lvl IV & V and the skill itself are absolutly useless, right. |

right... taking in and out stuff while a silo is still online would offcourse be the simplest solution |

sorry for spamming my own created thread... making any effect to the POS itself as a result of the Achoring skill (or any other skill) is not possible. remember its a corp structure, so if someone else uses it it should still work. so reducing the distance between silos should/can not be depending on a single players skill.
