I don't find 9/11 (or terrorism in general) funny. I can imagine that if you haven't lived through it on a personal level you'll be distanced from its consequences. Take my word for it, there's nothing 'amusing' about terrorist attacks.

Allahu akhbar means "God is great." or something close enough so as to make the difference inconsequential. This isn't a derogatory or defamatory thing in any way shape or form.
While it may be screamed by suicide bombers before they detonate, it is also a part of the Salat, the primary prayer which must be recited by every Muslim five times daily (each one counting for 10 prayers and thus making up the 50 prayers that Allah demanded - each counts for 10 in order to make it easier on the faithful and is a show of Allah's mercy).
The point I was making is that it's only offensive if YOU the viewer decide to be offended - on the face of it there is nothing offensive.
That said, I still don't like GoonSwarm in general (though I have interacted with three that I can say are decent folks - I just won't name them here).

Well, it's pretty easy. On the one hand people laugh about other people that, say, pretend to have been kidnapped and raped by imaginary aliens and call them insane. When some muslim psychos claiming to be doing Gods holy war crash an airplane into a building and i'm sure screamed Allahu akhbar just before they murdered so many people, it's offensive.
When peaceful, normal Muslims do it as a part of their prayers, it's not offensive, and is a thing of beauty within their worship of God.
The problem is, we don't care to make those distinctions. In the American mind, psycho-suicide bombers are muslim therefore muslim/arabic references are often translated in our minds as exceptionally negative. It doesn't matter to most of us if that is a normal part of the muslim prayer chains, we equate it with people being murdered by some freak with a bomb strapped to his body pretending his death has any meaning by screaming out "God is Great" therefore its bad/evil/wrong/threatening. period.
It may not be right to equate all muslims with just the few who stupidly strap a bomb to themselves to rush themselves to the afterlife, but I would rather consider all muslims as potential suicide bombers, and view them with mistrust, than not and be one of their victims.
Personally, i am for wiping the entire middle east off the face of the planet, INCLUDING isreal. It would solve a lot of problems if all that sand were radioactive glowing glass. Sound psycho? No more psycho than a bunch of religious freaks blowing themselves up to get 72 virgins... 72 virgins, yeah... great.... there is a real smart guy for ya.. ever try to live with 3 women in the same house?? and you want 72 of them??? MORON!
