Edited by: Maidel on 30/04/2004 00:31:13 I have done missions for one agent for a long time - i have standing of over 9 with both the agent and the corp. I used to get an implant about one in 30 missions (every 3rd or so important mission). I understand that they want to make implants rarer and this is not a whining thread about im not getting enough implants. My question is i have now done over 200 missions and over 25 important missions for this agent. She has 3 important mission templates that keep recycling and i have not got an implant mission. Can someone please confirm or deny that agents that used to have the implant mission have possibly had that mission removed? I have no problems with waiting longer for one, i merely want to know if it is possible am now sitting on an agent that will NEVER give me an implant again, in which case it is time for me to move on.
(edit - i forgot to enter anything in the message cos im stupid)

I simply cannot understand why they would want to make implants more rare.
Seriously. We've got all these crazy advanced skills coming soon, shouldn't we be able to train them in a decent amount of time? ------------- My salsa makes all the pretty girls want to dance and take off their underpants. I <3 ( . Y . ) |

haha.. i dont know either... but what im more interrested in is if anyone knows if some agetns have had the mission REMOVED ENTIRELY... which is kinda the impression i get. its not just me 3 other members of my corp use this agent and between us we have over 40 important missions with no sign of the implant mission.

My agent was in Luminaire, and I realized they prolly took away his implant mission to discorage me from staying in that system (Why couldn't they just move the agent elsewhere if they wanted to distribute load?) I'm going to slowly work my way down in system security level to see if the farther flung agents give more implants (my corp m8s need them bad)...I'm on an agent in a .8 system, and I've had several important missions, but I'm going to wait till I get her faction standings with me up to 9 before I rule her out as an implant giver. =======Abaddon=======

Edited by: Ulmo on 30/04/2004 22:51:28 I am having a similar experience. I'm working for Katild Arneigen. An advisory agent with the Republic University School in Gerek.
Agent Quality = -17, Effective Quality = 7 Agent Standing = 9.52(9.45) Republic University Standing = 9.12(9.00) Minmatar Standing = 6.51(6.04)
My history breakdown with this agent is this:
Number of missions between "Importants", excluding the important mission, from the beginning. [] indicates receipt of implant. Most of the missions were rolled in a frigate.
4, 16, [14], 12, [15], 6, 8, 4, 12, [13], 11, 4, 5, 6, 7, 4, 11, 9, 10, 11, [11], 5, [7], [6], 3, 8, 9, 7, 7, PATCH 8, 9, 7, 6, 10, 8, 6, 7, 8, 9, 9, 8...
I received the following important missions prior to the patch:
Important Supplies - 7 Important Mercenary Assasination - 5 Freelance Miner Needed - 4 Fight For the Establishment - 7 Transaction Delivery (implant mission) - 6
Since the patch I have received the following important missions:
Important Supplies - 5 Fight For the Establishment - 2 A Case of Kidnapping - 5 Transaction Delivery (implant mission) - 0
Quite a reversal of luck, wouldn't you say?

Since the patch, the duration of my 'normal' missions between important missions has increased from a steady 7 to anywhere between 7-12. My implant missions haven't been affected though, and still get them as often as before.

I'm pretty convinced the drop rate of implants has decreased drastically recently. I spend a lot of my time in game doing missions for a number of agents. Before the last patch I used to get an implant mission maybe every 3rd or 4th "important" mission. Since the last patch though I haven't had a single implant mission although I'm still getting the same number of "important" missions.
If it was just me though I'd put it down to bad luck. However I don't know of a single person in my corp who's had an implant mission since the last patch. This covers a lot of missions and a lot of different agents. Ravelin Eb

I have received 2 implants since the patch, never received them at this pace exept the short period of time when they came as loot in damsel in distress mission.

This is a bit sad but i spent 17 continuous hours yesterday doing missions for 1 agent, during that time i got several important missions but no implant missions. I agree with maidel, I am quite happy if CCP has decided to make implants rarer, but i think they should notify us that this is the case. If it is the case it would be kinda nice for them to explain why, if implants become rarer and more expensive, less people will take part in pvp and more people will whine when they lose implants through pvp.

Well I have had no implants since patch but I am not complaining yet as I have not done as many missions.
I am aware that the drop rate does seem to have reduced and prices have gone up.
Intel implants price has risen from around 12 million a few weeks ago to 18 million (which is what one of my corp m8s got for one yesterday...
As for the frequency of the drops my agents (pre-patch) used to drop an implant mission on average one in every 6 important missions so I guess those who were getting them every 3/4 important missions were a bit lucky...
It does seem to me that the number of normal missions before receiving an important has also risen - Used to get importants every 6 to 8 missions - now it is more like 8 to 10...

So the general idea is that they ARE still dropping at a decreased rate.... therefore based on what i have heard so far either i am REALLY unlucky or more likely - my agent has had the implant mission removed. I would love for some offical response to this. I dont want them to say - yes these specific agents have had this mission removed because no one will use them again and that takes some of the fun out of finding one that has them - why i would like confirmed is that some agents that used to implant drop - NOW DO NOT.

31 important missions and no implant + 30 from other corp mates who have now given up on the agent - thats more than unlucky

I've been hitting the L3 HG agent in Sobaseki VIII hard since the last big patch and have obtained no implants. In fact, his rewards are now, more often than not, low amounts of cash or Caldari shuttles. I get more out of killing the rats than I do the mission rewards.

I can say that pre-patch I was getting an implant mission every 30-32 missions. I am now at 68 missions with no joy whatsover. I have had countless "important missions" To the point its getting blurry between the lines on them. I too would like just any reply saying "Yes we have removed implant missions from some level 3 agents" I'm currently working for the highest quality security agent in this corporation and its getting very frustrating.

i too, have had no success since patch, and have done more missions after the patch than i did before, i got 2 implants before patch and none since.
personally i think something is or was broke during last patch, the few implants i hear about are rare and i think are coming from just certain corps.
wish papa wasn't so busy from all these server updates, so he could clue us in on what's going on atm. come back... papa!! we need a clue or someone to look into this situation. missions are a complete waste of time almost now.

Can we be somewhat specific about what implant types and agent types we are talking about?
Most of the people here seem to be doing kill missions... it would appear that maybe the agents giving kill mission aren't giving implants. This would mean fewer perception implants for the most part.
I can confirm that mem and int implants do drop, I have received several since the last patch. But these come from courier type agents not kill agents.
So the question is has anyone gotten implants from a kill type agent? So far no luck on the kill agent for me.

Edited by: Levi on 30/04/2004 17:25:44 actually i've done both, kill & courier since patch. i switched from kill to see if the courier missions would start giving some, but to no avail.
so it might be more of which corp agents are still 'working' and which are broke.

My agent is a Marketing agent and the missions I get implants from are all for transporting transaction data. Out of the last 8 important missions I have done 3 of them have been implant missions. It is very rare I get combat missions from my agent and have never had a combat mission for an implant.

I dont know how many missions I've done since patch. not to mention how many "important" missions.
Corp standing of 9.95 agent standing of 9.86. been running missions with same agent non stop since patch and not ONE single implant yet.
I've made over 15 mill in bounties and mission rewards yet no implant mission. I sware I must have had atleast 15 to 20 "important missions" since patch and not one implant.
that is more than just dumb luck no matter what or how the odds are figure..........i'd call that a nerf.
Some of us play this game in respect to being "decent" gamers. as opposed to sitting at a gate and ganking people.....some of us look to missions and their rewards to be able to make enough money from them to compete with these bigger corps.
15 mill worth of mission bonuses and rewards and not one implant drop, 10 days of nonstop missions. that's bit rediculous.
If it's going to be like this, they should put the mega and zyd back into the tool bonuses so us mission runners can make some real money again.
