if you're supporting a Raven you need to take care of the tackling so your raven buddy can concentrate on tanking and maximising his DPS.
You'll need an MWD, webber and warp disrupter, and then the best tank your remaining slots will allow you to fit. Probably something like 2 extenders, invuln field, damage control, 3 pds and 3 resist rigs (they're really cheap).

I second this statement. It sounds like you want your focus to be on EW. Smaller ships mitigate damage well due to their speed , and a specialized EW ship will to leagues more then dedicating slots on your drake to EW. (Plus it doesnt suck as bad when you lose em)
Though if you really want you could fit a few slots on your drake with ew at the expense of your tank, its definitly not uncommon to do.
If you are set on flying your drake I would honestly just focus on getting a better tank and more damage, then slap on a warp jammer on to prevent people from escaping, a webifier since you two are flying some outrageously slow ships and people could outrun you to warp out due to a limited jamming range.
The raven isnt about to tackle anything anytime soon so a MWD if you have the skills (since you are only a month old) otherwise it will be a huge pain in the ass to stop people from warping away once they see you.
Edit: Some pro typos

Edited by: Raging Knight on 14/05/2008 21:44:03 You cant use a drake for EWAR, PvP is like below (i posted it somewhere else so pasted it) and yes get BB :)
A PvP drake is something along the lines of this
Ballistic Control System II Ballistic Control System II Damage Control II Power Diagnostic System II
Large Shield Extender II Invulnerability Field II Invulnerability Field II Fleeting Propulsion Inhibitor I Warp Disruptor II Y-T8 Overcharged Hydrocarbon I Microwarpdrive
Heavy Assault Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Terror Assault Missile Heavy Assault Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Terror Assault Missile Heavy Assault Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Terror Assault Missile Heavy Assault Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Terror Assault Missile Heavy Assault Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Terror Assault Missile Heavy Assault Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Terror Assault Missile Heavy Assault Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Terror Assault Missile [empty high slot]
Core Defence Field Extender I Core Defence Field Extender I Anti-EM Screen Reinforcer I
Hornet EC-300 x5
With this set-up you get a decent buffer, all resist are over 70% and your looking about about 14,000 shield HP and about 80K overall effective hit points. With missile damage alone your pushing 460 DPS, with drones you could get more however i suggest using ECM drones (as in above set-up). Overall the drake isn't all that impressive in PvP, it does the job for a caldari ship though.

I use the same setup exept that I don't think it's worth to rig this type of Drake, oh and I also sometimes use other drnones.
It works well, not the best setup in the world but it's fairly cheap to loose.

Edited by: Jurgen Cartis on 17/05/2008 01:44:16 Sell Drake. Buy Blackbird. Find a second friend with a fast tackler, like a Rifter or Stabber or any Ceptor. Go melt face.
Or you can go with the HAM/tackle/buffer Drake:
7x HAM
LSE II 2x I-field MWD web 20km
BCU II x2 DCU II PDU or RCU (you'll need the RCU unless you have godly fitting skills)
Rigs are either empty or cheap Anti-X Screens.
Thing is, you can pack the Drake's mids with EW, but there really aren't any 'great' choices to put there. ECM is crap if not on specialized ships, RSDs aren't that great right now, and TDs only work on guns. You might consider fitting a single TP if the Raven fits torps and doesn't have one of its own. -------------------- ICE Blueprint Sales FIRST!! -Yipsilanti Pfft. Never such a thing as a "last chance". ;) -Rauth |

Edited by: Grendelsbane on 17/05/2008 16:51:15 I agree, the Blackbird will probably do you more good in PvP in many instances. I have one sitting in my hangar that I spent about 30+ mil ISK to fit. Flying it in small-gang PvP is usually a riot, because I chopped out some of the ECM in favor of a tank that is pretty damn good for a Caldari cruiser.. If I miss a cycle (rare, with my EW skills and cruiser V), I can live long enough to catch another.
When is the last time you saw someone tackle something in a Blackbird? Hilarity ensues.
