Just wanted to say thanks to you all. Believe in this or not, agree with you or not, still was a chunk of time/effort put into it.
So thanks and see you all in EVE :)

You are most welcome sir.
But it's only just starting. Much more hard work will have to be put in by the lucky 9.

Indeed, you're welcome.
I have to say that I've never spent so much time here in the office reading forum posts.
Soon we'll all have answers.

I enjoyed this time of running that will soon be ending. I'm glad not much mudthrowing occured, and that we were able to keep things civilized and honest.
I hope to win and represent you all well, but if not, I'll know that I gave my all to a race, and I'll congratulate the winner. I'm just hoping that there won't be a majority in the position, but rather a fairly even split so that no side is favored. See all of you on the flip-side, where we'll find out the lucky winners!

Merci aussi ;-P
And while this has been fun (fsvo!) remember that each incarnation of the CSM sits for only six months, so we get to do all this again with another slate of candidates in September and October!

Yep on the whole its been a pretty decently-run campaign. Congratulations to those candidates who were able to keep positive and present their own opinions and positions without getting drawn into silly pettiness and partisan sniping and all that guff. There were some great individual campaigns and I'm crossing my fingers that the floating neutral vote puts some decent non-alliance-block-vote candidates into the council to balance out the inevitable stuffed-shirt dullsville appointees we'll otherwise be stuck with

Oh leave it out Hardin. Its entirely fair enough for me as an eve player to publicly wish for a Council comprising independent representatives elected on their platforms and personal attributes rather than seeing what are effectively alliance appointees foisted on the CSM by an unthinking patriotic alliance block vote.
Now you can certainly disagree with me. But don't allege murky hypocrisy with selective quoting as if that's a counter argument to the preference I have stated.

Jade, as I have said before, if I am fortunate enough to be elected I will work with you, but I am not an idiot and you are not going to pull wool over my eyes.
You based your entire campaign on presenting yourself as some holier than thou example of co-operation when at every opportunity you were sticking the knife into 'dull alliance stuffed shirts'.
I had hoped that now the actually campaigning was over you would stop with the politics and focus on working with the other candidates rather than continuing to CONFRONT them... however your reply above seems to indicate that that isn't the case.
I just thought it was amusing that you decided to use a 'thank you' thread to play the 'holy one' whilst simultaneously criticising your opponents...
If we are both fortunate enough to be elected I really REALLY hope that at least in person you will work with the other representatives rather than seek to confront and belittle them - regardless of where they come from!

No Hardin, I based my campaign around honestly presenting a vision for Eve beyond the current log-jam of 0.0 sovereignty trench-warfare and endless tedious POS grinding. I offered the eve electorate an insight into my interests and likely voting preferences and showed the player base which issues I'd be inclined to support and advocate in the furtherance of good quality pvp action and combat dynamism on the live server.
And thats it really.

In Jade's defense, though it appears he/she actually has very limited experience in the 0.0 territorial warfare he/she'd so like to change, it has repeatedly mentioned the "big alliance against the little guy" thing. Some would call it envy, but hey we can't all be successful 5000 man alliances. We should probably convene a council to alter the game mechanics and punish success forthwith.

Boys and Girls, was fun and please see the announcement of who's in and out tomorrow before breaking into tin foil hattery and conspiracy theories. Any gripes made in bad humour today may be bitterly regretted tomorrow.
Good luck to you all. Now let the players speak.

Oh haha a BoB joke! I dunno I figured maybe I'd join Star Fraction instead. We can both roleplay Women in Space and hang out waiting for portions of the game we can't be assed to engage in to be changed to suit our own personal needs.

Somehow I don't think you'd make the cut. Try setting your sights a little bit more modestly and get some small unit combat experience and come back in a year perhaps?

Sure! When I'm done weening myself from my dependency on 500 man fleets we can all chill out and pen novellas while playing capture the flag on stargates to determine system ownership!

Is it just me or have certain gloves come off, now, all good manners forgotten, and candidates are going for each others' throats less than 24 hours after voting closed? Is this how it's going to be then when our representatives are supposed to seriously debate our concerns and suggestions? Hmmm...

Isn't today the 'eye of the storm' though? The campaign is over but the winners aren't announced so candidates could (if they wanted to) let themselves off the leash until the first Council is announced tomorrow, at which time nine good pilots and true (hopefully) will sit down and talk sense to each other and CCP / Devs.
