Hello
I have a myrm stuck in deep 0.0 in a station called h8tzto smoske memorial. Now i know i can courier contract it back to empire. i am just wondering do players really accept this kind of contract and what are my chances of getting this sweet ship home from this pos.?
I have never made any contracts before so i don't wanna mess it up and loose this ship which is a large chunk of my assets.
thanks.

By creating a contract, you may or may not get your ship up to hi-sec, depends if any capship pilots in the relevant alliance(s) can be bothered to jump it up to hi-sec on their next shopping trip. In making a courier contract, you should set the collateral at slightly higher than the approximate value of the ship, so that if they fail to produce the goods, you get enough money to replace the myrm. You should also offer a decent reward, dependant on the volume of the package and the value of the goods. Chance of success will also depend on where you want it delivered to, you are more likely to get it delivered to a lowsec jump-point near the 0.0 station than, say, Jita.
The other option you have is if you have a jumpclone down there, clone jump, fully insure the ship and check your clone, and attempt to fly out. In this case, assume from the second you undock you will lose the ship and your pod on your way out. If you make it out, bonus, if you don't, oh well you've got the insurance.
You can also talk to the alliance officials of the current occupants to see what they have to say about buying it off you. --- Sig Starts Here --- Lord Haur - Imperial Academy Logistical Support

Well I was in a corp that jumped around a lot.. and I mean a lot! We were in an allaince in the south (... i think) and i got a corp mate to bring me down a myrm from empire as a spare. I was away for the weekend and my corp moved again!... the myrm got delivered to the 0.0 pos while i was also in empire and my corp left the area. So now my lovely myrm is 30+ jumps in 0.0 and I am stuck in empire.
The chances of flying it out 30 plus jumps and not running into a gate camp i think are zero to none.. although insuring it and flying it out might work for the insurance $$ .. but i doubt i can make a clone in that pos anymore.. might still have one there will have to check. and i think it will be a gamble if i can even insure it, cause it has been down there a while and the insurance has run out.... :(

you might consider asking one of your corp mates to go in and bring it out. or you could try yourself with your corp flying escort. --------------------------------------------------

How about hopping in immediately after the scheduled downtime?
I think your odds of flying it out at that time are pretty good. It takes a while for people to log back in after the downtime.

thats a good idea, also if you have the ability to do so: fly a covert op frig ( like the buzzard) to your myrm before the downtime and then as soon as the server is back up pack up your covert op frig and put it your myrms cargohold and fly it back to empire =D
also check the map and find the most direct route from the nearest high sector system to your myrm, because if your worried about loosing it you should just worry about the low sec once your in high sec you can take your sweet time getting it home =D --------------------------------------------------

I'd just go there (in a jump clone) and put it up for sale at a high price. A ship like the Myrm should fetch an excellent price in 0.0 Use the proceeds to buy a new one at your new location. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Legion of Shadow is looking for recruits. |

Yes, that sounds like a better plan to me. People will pay a high premium (at least 15-20% over Jita price) to have a ship they can rat with in 0.0.
Do you still have docking rights at that station? (I'm pretty sure you mean an outpost, though you keep calling it a POS.) If so you can dock and sell it. If not, you'll have to put it up on contract, or maybe pay the current owners of the station to give you temporary docking rights.

Or put it up on contract. Much easier than jumpcloning or flying out there in a cov ops. --- It have always fallen to a few to sacrifice for the good of many

tbh m8, if you have a myrm stuck in deep 0.0, forget about it and buy yourself another. Getting it back will really do your head in. |

I agree, sell it at a decent profit and buy another. Prices in 0.0 are usually higher than Empire. |

Umm, one thing people seem to have missed. If your corp has left the alliance and you guys aren't blue to them (which I assume is the case, otherwise you wouldn't have this problem) you're going to run into a major problem- You're not going to have docking rights at the station. If you don't have a jump clone at the station or you aren't actually there. your myrm is lost to you. You could sell it though if you have the appropriate marketing skills |

All great suggestions. Personally, I'd go after it just for the challenge. I'd take a jump clone in a shuttle and watch the crap out of that "Starting up" timer every morning. As soon as it said "Accepting Connections" I'd be off. Go as many jumps as I could before it started looking sketchy. Stop there for the night and start again in the morning...
I did this once to get somewhere. It was 4 jumps across low-sec or twenty-some staying in high-sec.
If you get it out, please update us here. You've got me curious now... ;)

i created an auction contract for it. starting at 30 mill with a buyout of 40mill. hopefully some1 will look at local auctions down there and make a bid. It is a one week auction, so if it does not sell i will try and fly her out fully insured.

that's not a fire-sale try say the 25-30 mill buyout range.

That's really the best way to do it.
