War is coming.
No doubt many wil bemoan such a prospect. Wailing will be loud and increasing by the day; reaching a climax on the day hostilites are declared. But then everyone will don his armour and quietly rejoice at the occasion.
However strongly we may deny it, everyone of us realizes that war is the ultimate yardstick and the unavoidable test of what matters most to each of us. War is a concentration point, an impenetrable event horizon, beyond which we cannot see but after which lies a new distribution of what we call true and false. Before a war is a haze of uncertainty. After it lies a starkly clear cut contrast between failure and success; between promises kept and fancilful hot air revealed as such.
War is the test of the Holy.

Uh, point of order mate, war is where people die, chaos ensues and civilization gets shoved into the gutter while people send each other to oblivion at the recieving end of a broadside.
All thats before is a haze? Not really, theres productive research, building, trading, all the things that make people what they are. War jsut brings out the animal at the back of the brain and lets it play with big guns... |

War is what makes all those other little things worth doing. If ships were free, and the ammo we unload into our foes was as well, almost no one here would take the time to construct those ships and guns.
War defines how we spend the time during peace. Did you squander it, or are you ready to take your enemy, and make them bleed? I'm not sure if war is holy, inasmuch as I'm not sure if anything is, but it is definitely a fine art, greater than most others. |

Sorry sir, but I am not your "mate". I never understood why Gallente so often made a point of being disrespectful to those they disagree with.

Indeed. Are you affraid to die?

This is a joke sir. And we all know it. War is a builder as much as it is a destroyer. The Caldari State was born out of a war among people who were initially Gallenteans. People who had other values and wanted to live differently. The Amarrian Empire is another example. Amarrians were the greatest warriors of old and this is how they were able to federate the petty kingdoms in the vincinity of their home world into the greatest empire the cluster has ever known. In turn, the Minmatar conquered their freedom from the Amarr through war.
War is how major changes come to pass. To pretend otherwise is hypocrisy. But hypocrisy is not a problem for a Gallentean I suppose. Or maybe it is that Gallenteans fear the coming confrontation because they doubt the robustness of their way of life. Perhaps it will not survive a major confrontation and the emptiness of the high sounding moral posturing on which it rests will be exposed. This would be a good reason indeed to dread the prospect of war.

All true Amarr will join the 24th Imperial Crusade, regardless of the sacrifice they must make.
Resigning from corporations, pledging millions of Isk to the war effort, fitting warships for battle, abandoning comfortable high-sec space for the unknown.
We are outnumbered by our enemies, but many of those will cower in the comfort of space stations and hope that others will take their place.
All Amarr will be the mighty fist of God that will make our enemies cower in fear.
It is time for the Empire to purge ourselves of the weak and cowardly. If you are Amarr, your duty is clear!

War, Where the Brave and Foolish are the First to Die!
War, That which is in the nature of all Humans even we who can be re-born after each Death and look upon war as mere fun and games or to others as a means to an end.
Yes it is coming but how many will fight and how many will stand upon the side lines remaining neutral or in-difreant to it all.
I guess only time shall tell, but who will gain the most from this needless waste of lives that is what I would like to know.
